Beside many things I ‘ate’ in Istanbul, I fell in love with Sufi, its music, for it is breathing from and in the heart.
I think that the most beautiful, most touching moment since months was to see how the derwishes open their swirling dance. Especially the moment of how they cherish their heart and open their arms to life and the universe.
My Burning Heart from Mevlana Celaleddin-i Rumi:
My heart is burning with Love
All can see this flame
My heart is pulsing with passion
like waves on an oceanmy friends have become strangers
and I’m surrounded by enemies
but I’m free as the wind
no longer hurt by those who reproach meI’m at home wherever I am
and in the room of lovers
I can see with closed eyes
the beauty that dancesBehind the veils
intoxicated with love
I too dance the rhythm
of this moving worldI have lost my senses
in my world of loversFebruary 26, 2007 at 6:45 am #21364welcome back
February 28, 2007 at 2:12 pm #21366I went to a Sufi conference once.
Some really beuatiful, heart-centered souls. Hard not to love them.
It was, as a group, possibly the most ungrounded spiritual group I’ve ever seen.
Getting that heart/fire energy to flow into earth is just not their focus.Every path holds a certain portal open.
No need to limit yourself to one portal.
Or link a number of them together.love, chi, blessings to your new lover,

Just adding one,
I am mixing, blending until it becomes sweet Ambrosia, and when ready I will drink the cup empty, the divine nectar of the immortal souls… -
