I’ve been practicing the microcosmic orbit for some time now and it makes me incredibly hot. Last year, I was burning my ex-girlfriend’s knee as I was touching it. At times, I shake and sweat heavily when running it. Is it healthy to be this hot? Are there ways to cool the chi in the orbit so that I don’t burn myself and others up? Thank you guys for your time and experience.
warm regards,

Yes, you can bring in Yin Earth energy into your practice of the orbit. Not sure where you are learning the oribit from, but this is one thing you might consider working with. The other factor is that it can be normal to experience the heat at times during the spiritual awakening process.
Some people find visualizing an iceberg in the lower tan tien or kidney area to help. You could always sit in a cold bath or take a cold shower to “feel” that coolness and internalize it from an energetic perspective.
Part of the spiritual process is “burning” off stuff sometimes referred to as burning off Karma. I generally run very hot myself. I do not particularly like the feeling but it is part of the path and it tends to subside or balance out.
Some people also learn practices that invlovle rooting (to the earth) with the embracing the tree posture for example.
Lately, I have noticed a lot of heat myself. Sometimes there are other unexplainable factors that effect a lot of people in the same way. I have been sweating and hot so much lately myself.
Best,
Matt

Testicle breathing and drawing jing from there(non aroused and cool) into your orbit can be suprisingly cooling and refreshing.
Michael ate a lot of ice cream until he learned to cool his tool!
Is she your ex-girlfriend because you burned her knee?
Cool regards

Another way is this. Witness/guide the heat as heat- not story- through channels that release it as in the arms and legs, fingers toes and sense organs. Stick tongue out, stare at a flame, steam out your ears. Usually it will want to rise. And watch what comes in its place.
I suggest this because I read some fear/worry in your assessment which if true, just holds it in.
Expand the fear too and see if you can find the iceberg lurking waiting to join in a melting embrace. Be courageous and when needed, objective. Barry
