hey y’all, my morning schedule is wack and i’m trying to make a new one. this may sound like a weird question to ask, but i ask you because most of you already have qigong practice already as part of your morning activities. if you don’t mind, please roughly describe your morning schedule (from when you get up to when you go to work or whatever)including times. if you don’t want to post this on the forum but for some reason would be fine with telling me, you can email me at atxryan@yahoo.com
thanks
ryanJuly 23, 2008 at 1:28 pm #28797I usually have a short practice–no more than an hour–in
part due to not being a morning person. I do the bulk of my practice
later in the day and especially late at night . . . but I’m probably atypical,
as I bet most do most of their stuff in the morning.Usually my morning is a mix of Tao Yin, Shaking & Warmups from QF4,
and/or use of Wire Hitters with Bone Beating/Breathing. Then I do all
of my other practices later in the day or night.S
July 23, 2008 at 3:54 pm #28799Hello axtryan
I´m not a person with habits realy, so can only speak for what I do just now.
Have just started an intensive qigong training. I realised there where quite alot exercises from the book we have followed that I don´t have done. And I vant to complete it before we start the new book and before I start my white tigress/tiger course and before I start my master thesis work.
This is exercises during my vacation.
I do some emediately after awakening. Six healing sounds and a tounge exercise
Then I do more one hour after breakfirst, have some time to fix things in my home before going out doing other things. This exercise is to stand agains a whall and press the pumps into it and I do it for 30 breaths. Perhaps some meditation afterwards and microcosmic and collecting the energy to the navel.
My next round is about 3 pm. I do some tao yin and qi self massage.
Then I try to do some exercises later at about 8 P.M but usually I skip this beacase this time at the day I not feel for doing qigong.
So for me it is better to do exercises in the morning if not to hungry. At 3 p.m is also good for me beacase then I have some breake from what I´m doing.
If working I think to go up about 20 minutes earlier than else to do 20 minutes of some nice qigong is good. And also after work to do some 20 minutes before you cook dinner. This have work for me earir in life.
I also travel quite alot to work and then I do some quite long meditations on the bus and train.
Good luck with your routines. I thing everybody is quite different with such things so you have to find your own good habits.

July 28, 2008 at 9:03 pm #28801I tend to do most of my Chi Gong at night, or as the sun is setting. Which is amazing in New Mexico. Depending on my mood, I like to start with inner smile laying in bed, then the lung sound to clear my lungs, then bone breathing, I also like going for a nice walk in nature.
July 31, 2008 at 8:58 pm #28803i see, thanks for the input Steven, SD, and Dog. i had a kind of rigid of idea of when qigong was to be practiced but now i have a more open one, thanks.
