    Hi everyone

This is my first posting here.

I am from Singapore and am considering adopting qigong for health.

I am curious to find out the Daoist understanding of the effect of the practice of mantra chanting on the energy bodies. Some other spiritual traditions adopt mantra chanting as a key feature of their practice. From the perspective of the Daoist system, what are the effects of this practices?

Are there anyone who practice mantra chanting and the HT practices?

Sorry if the question sounds too elementary.

    Thanks!

Mantras, syllables, sounds are effective for clearing and balancing energy of the body; helps unblock, resolve and dissolve issue and polarized patterns. Tao teachings on this split in two schools ceremonial (taoism)religon and tao (individual).

I would recommend the practices that are geared more towards self healing and not so much ritualistic because you dont have to follow a religous practice in that way. taoist religon practices could be too much baggage just to get the benefits, where something like six healing sounds will give you the benefits within 20 minute session.

Sound practice will make your foundational energy body/spiritual body stronger, but its only a piece of an integrated whole in the practices and Tao path.
