I got turned on to this show Babylon 5. Babylon 5 is Babylon of space with Aliens. There are 4 major races that meet in this place trying to come to peace. I love the numerology of 5 being the meeting place. It also has to older races that guide the other races uses competing methods of control & chaos. Very interesting show.

January 27, 2009 at 12:37 am #30335That’s a great show.
I have all 5 seasons + the spinoff Crusade on DVD.
There’s a lot of interesting spiritual subtext in an
otherwise standard sci-fi series. How far are you into the show? Which season?
January 27, 2009 at 11:12 am #30337I am almost through session one. The acting and script gets better as the show goes on, the first episodes where pretty bad. It is in my list of great series like Star Trek Next Generation, or Kung Fu, or Alien Nation. Babylon five has some great actors like all the ambassadors are wonderful but the some are just terrible. But what attracted me was the symbology, not the acting.
January 27, 2009 at 4:28 pm #30339If you like the show and are only just finishing season 1,
let me tell you, you are going to LOVE the show!Season 1 is important for the setup of the rest of the show,
but the episodes, show, etc. seem only OK at that point.Season 2 is better, and starts to pick up speed . . .
Season 3 is even better . . .
Then by season 4, you will have *serious* difficulty not
watching the show continuously.Oh, you are going to have some fun.
By the end, Star Trek will look mediocre by comparison.
Trust me on this one.S
January 27, 2009 at 6:19 pm #30341Cool site. I had heard of it but hadn’t tried it out until now.
I remember Babylon 5 and I feel the same about Star Trek TNG. Never did really get into the entire series of Babylon but I’m tempted too now.
It’s really amazing how abundant Media is becoming on the internet. -
