What I would like to know is how much time one needs to do a healing sound or a Chi Gong movement to see concrete results for a negative emotion. It seems to me that the results I get are minimal at the most. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.
March 5, 2013 at 5:22 pm #40375Hi,
In my view, it sort of depends on how strong and/or deep
the emotion is . . . as to how long one needs to do the
Healing Sounds etc., or whether the Healing Sounds
will even be sufficient. By this, I mean “it depends
on how deep the underlying emotion goes”.Consider the following examples (anger) to
illustrate what I mean:1. If you are angry because an aggressive driver
just cut you off, it might only take a few liver
healing sounds to flush it out.
(Example of spontaneous anger arising, with no history)2. If you are angry because it is the third time
the auto mechanics have tried to fix your car, charged
you money, and it is still having the same problem,
then the anger goes much deeper. The anger has a history.
The Healing Sounds are may be adequate. Even doing
them for a long period of time, you still might feel some
anger. If this is true, you will likely have to
get more grounded to detach from the emotion,
and maybe do some Fusion 1.3. If you are angry because an old partner betrayed you
and ruined your relationship, but you still feel anger
a number of years later, the anger is yet even
more integrated into your infrastructure. In this case,
one practice session with Fusion 1 may not be sufficient.
Several could be needed. In fact, if there is a sexual
component mixed in, you will likely need to incorporate
some Lesser Kan & Li as well–either by using the material
in that course directly, or indirectly such as in the
Deep Healing Qigong.4. If you are angry because you were
physically or sexually abused as a child,
and you have felt this anger all of your life,
it is likely you will need to use a lot of techniques,
from Healing Sounds, Fusion, Kan&Li, to other sources
such as modern psychotherapy, over a long period of time
to heal this issue. The anger may be so deeply burned
into your infrastructure it may take a lot of work,
time, and loving patience to yourself to get healing. But, of course, this does not negate the usefulness
of the Healing Sounds. You wouldn’t need to grab a
sledgehammer to kill a fly, when a flyswatter will do.
So if it is a minor thing–spontaneous anger arising–
then probably the Healing Sounds will do.Of course, the example used above is for “anger”, but
this equally well is applicable for any of the other
negative emotions such sadness, fear, impatience, worry, etc.To sum up:
If the Healing Sounds won’t do, because the emotion
has some history or has “hooked” you, then the next step
is to do grounding practices to “unhook” the emotion.
The “unhooking” (by getting grounded) won’t necessarily
eliminate the emotion, but it will allow you to become
detached from it (being able to see it neutrally as
if from an outside observation). Once the emotion is
unhooked, then use higher-level tools to process it . . .
which ones (and for how long) depending on deeply
integrated the emotion is into your matrix.Hope this helps,

Sometimes I find an emotion that won’t clear has something to tell me before I am able to release it, particularly the “stuck” feelings or those that keep repeating. I try to sit with the feeling, allow myself to really feel the emotion without taking any action, just feeling it. Then I ask the feeling & the associated organ/shen what it wants to tell me, what wisdom or insight does it need to share with me before I am able to release it. Then I do the healing sounds &/or fusion too. Often, if it hasn’t communicated it’s message before, in doing healing sounds practice, the emotion will give me an insight just as it dissolves, just as I am able to wave bye-bye to it. I find a lot of wisdom in my stuck feelings.March 7, 2013 at 12:01 am #40379Yeah, this is a good strategy.
I use it myself actually.
I incorporate it into my Inner Smile practice.S
March 8, 2013 at 2:27 pm #40381Thanks to Steve and qtface for their information and suggestions. I am working with 3 levels of PTSD–meaning one on top of another. So this explains a lot.
March 11, 2013 at 8:18 pm #40383My experience is very different. I find the healing sounds the most effective to reduce my susceptability to any certain emotion. Of course the emotion still gets triggered from the mind but it loses its power and substance if you do the sounds regularly. I find fusion 1 works quickly but at the mental level only and not so solidly. Grounding is def good. Kan and li just makes matters worse unless i am balanced and stable already. How many sounds do you do? Do 12 of each 1 or 2 times a day and within a week you should definately notice a difference in yourself i think

>>>Kan and li just makes matters worse
>>>unless i am balanced and stable already.I agree, Kan&Li does make things worse without adequate grounding.
Grounding needs to be substrate for all practices.S
