years ago a friend knew an older lady who began having headaches…
after some effort it turned out some of the bones and part of her sinus system were deteriorating… someone said it also seemed to have to do with related collagen…no one knew the cause and it was suggested at one point that she drank a massive amount of diet coke for many years…
if i remember correctly she stopped drinking the sodas and there was a degree of remission…
“Dear Dr. B,
I had a root canal last Monday. Shortly after I returned home from the dentist, I leaned over and had a sudden gush of watery substance drain from my left nostril. It smelled just like the sodium hypochlorite that the dentist used to flush my roots. The drainage continued several times that evening. The following day, nearly 24 hours later, I was bending over and moving boxes and it happened again, this time yellow. The drainage amounted to about a teaspoon. I had no pain or swelling.
Toward the end of my root canal procedure on Monday, I had sudden moderate pain that traveled from my jaw up to my temple. The temple pain lasted for about an hour. ”
“The other week I was eating some cake and somehow some of it went up my nose. I eventually got it down after snorting and blowing my nose. I didnt think too much of it until this week when the same thing happened again except I couldnt get the food down. The problem is now whenever I eat all my food keeps getting caught in my nasal cavity. My left nostril feels rather weird where it joins the bak of my throught, it feels like there is some sort of gap which wont close. Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening or what can be causing it? It’s quite distressing and making it very awkward to eat solids. ”
