I been trying to find qi gong teachers who can build on my training with the Healing Dao. I am mostly impressed with Li Jun Feng. However, you already studied with this dude and incorperated some of his moves in your practice. So, my question is, is there anyone who you HAVENT studied with who you might recommend aspiring qi gong teachers seek out? Or perhaps teacher Li is the cream of the crop? And you studied with all the best teachers you could find?
Surely, there are many teachers in Asia as well. What are the prospects of going on an adventure into the mountains to find an old hermit? Even with a language barrier, I have heard of (zhi sheng wang) students receiving heart to heart transmission regardless.

I agree. It is good to learn from many people and put their methods into practice, then you can compare the quality of their teachings or completeness of their method.
OK, so I have had a few decades head start on scouting out the available qigong talent. But that’s not to say that you can’t find something valuable or different from the same (or other) teachers. Li Jung feng is lovely, great heart, but I find his forms have too many movements and not enough internal practice (such as is offered by One Cloud Seven Formulas).
I am a big believer in spiritual adventure. so come to China with me next year, that will prepare you solidly for making your own explorations later on your own. Best to avoid wasted time if possible in a culture where you know nothing, and zero in on most likely scenarios.
And knowing the whole time that you are merely adding rich texture to the fabric of the Tao that is already inside of you.
I personally haven’t found anyone in China who has anything resembling the sophistication of One cloud’s formulas. The more you absorb of what I’ve digested as your internal foundation, you will have a better perspective to evaluate what you find along the adventure path. And let me know what you find!

i’ve been here over two years and i agree. being here can take you closer to the roots and history of taoist culture and practice, but no one here will give you anything you can’t get in the West. In fact, i’d say qigong here is way behind the West. it hasn’t evolved. still, you will benefit from the experience of traveling and learning here and it will inspire your practice.
