Hi,
I’ve just read ‘Opening The Energy Gates of the Body” by Bruce Frantzis, and towards the end, he discusses chi kung which causes the chi to vibrate in the energy channels. I haven’t seen anything about this which is taught in the West. Does anyone have any information on how it is taught in China, and what sources are available in English and in the West? Thanks,

July 12, 2005 at 11:11 pm #6311I’m not familiar with Kumar’s practice. The general view around here is EVERYTHING vibrates, AT ALL TIMES.
Absent a better understanding of what Kumar is talking about, it’s hard to answer your question better than that.
July 13, 2005 at 2:02 pm #6313It’s wild how I can come from my morning practice with some novel experiences, click on the forum for a glance and feel a resonant wondering on the board. Of course I will be late for work now- hehe- but its worth some words.
Vibrations aren’t just chaotic shakes and shimmies. When there is a spirallic force there is yin, yang and the center. When I ground myself by sending a spiralic visual down my legs what am I doing but initiating vibration…or moreso meeting the vibration that is inherent in my makeup with awareness which opens up the gates.
Words are so clumsy. The spiral force I actualize in my legs going down to the earth embodies all the aspects of my leg self. All the polarities of inner and outer, strong and weak, bone and blood because the spiral vibrates, is how life is expressed as a whole.
Then the juicy part is the space within the spiral that is both created by these polarities but is also the creatress. It is elegant, beautiful to witness and be a part of and an endless classroom. babaJuly 13, 2005 at 5:05 pm #6315Bzzzzzzzzzzzz
