A rough translation of what was in a Belgian newspaper:
Fifteen year old boy is meditating for 6 months without food.
In the south of Nepal thousands of pelgrims come to honor the 15year old boy. It is said he is the new boeddha. Ram Bomjon, is sitting in silence for 6 months without food or drinking.
Some people claim they saw light coming out of his forehead. Like a flashlight shining through your hand.
The boy is THE subject in the region. He is not moving, not even for toilet purpose. The local authority asked for help because of the enormous amount of pelgrims coming to see him. And they want to have scientists to check him.
Local doctors could only confirm that he is alive because they are not allowed to come closer than 5 meters.
It looks like history replays itself. The historical boeddha was born about 250 km further. Ram Bomjon is sitting underneath a Boddhi tree in the same posture but he is sitting now for 6 months (cfr 49 days).
His mother is also named Maya Devi.Last week it was said he was bitten by a snake. For 5 days they put a curtain around him. After that the boy said: “tell the people not to call me Boeddha. I don’t have the energy of Boeddha. I have the level of a rinpoche. A snake bite me but I don’t need a treatment. I need 6 years of deep meditation.”
Meanwhile there is flourishing market around him. Debris everywhere.
Around the tree is a fence that prevents people from touching him.
A third fence is already placed as well a parking place for busses.November 26, 2005 at 11:59 am #8653This boy was on the television news, also.
Nice that things like this are getting news play.November 26, 2005 at 3:01 pm #8655“I don’t need a treatment. I need 6 years of deep meditation.”
LOL! That’s my favourite quote of the year!
