If it were not for this original post and those that followed, I would not have come across this song that YouTube insisted that I “Watch Next.”
Imagine Dragons – Shots (Official Lyrics)
Thanks

On a more serious note, I also can’t resist this: watch the Dividing Wall symbolically be removed.
Scorpions – Wind Of Change
Thank you.

How can I resist? I just have to smile 🙂

Starsailor – Poor Misguided Fool
Some good advice in the last song to not segregate thought from emotion. I would add that it is also wise not to divide emotion from thought. Practice makes imperfect acceptable!

I was stuck, trapped in my mom’s birth canal: my memories get fuzzy–lol!
I got through it, with a little help from my friends.

I don’t understand too many things all at once. The sun and moon say that it’s time to burn bridges and wander… When I was a boy, my hero was Horton (hears a Who). I see flaws that stem from Augustine, among others, here.
I think I understand “polishing mirrors” and the yang counterpart somewhat, but I really would appreciate some…[Read more]

A Woman’s Sex
It has the original mouth but remains wordless;
It is surrounded by a magnificent mound of hair.
Sentient beings can get completely lost in it
But it is also the birthplace of all the Buddhas of the ten thousand worlds.
Rinzai’s disciples never got the Zen message,
But I, the Blind Donkey, know the truth:
Love play can make…[Read more] -

Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Words
Many years ago, in a book now forgotten, in a place unremembered, I read what were stated to be the last words of Leonardo da Vinci – and it is this first version or translation of his final utterances that remains my favourite.
“I have offended God and Mankind, by doing so little with my life.”
Think…[Read more]

“Are uncorrupted or saintly people unfairly prone to sinister and demonic attacks of the Lifeforce? ”
It’s a good question, I think, but I don’t know how to tell if people are uncorrupted or saintly; what is fair or unfair; or what is sinister and demonic. Perhaps someone else knows.

When I was but a wee laddie, knee-high to a grasshopper, I was put in an airtight bag; In the warm carbon-dioxide-rich darkness, my ears clearly perceived the disembodied voice explaining my predicament and impending death by suffocation–and then, I alsofelt the floorboards vibrate and the door slam shut. I lay there, thinking ofpeople I knew…[Read more]
