    Jernej,

I often times have trouble reading your posts; as they – at first glance – communicate as a pithy “notes to self” style that is thus more-difficult-to-fill-out-by-others”.

In this thread I’ve taken more effort to get each line, as I felt your post was a reply to my own. I’ve found it dense with meaning, worth the effort.

    Gonna…[Read more]

Your comment reminds me of a quote from the movie “A River Runs Through It”:

“All good things come from Grace,
    Grace comes from art, and
    art comes from work.”

May be a good opportunity to generate general core channel discussion. As always, I’m interested in discussing the relevant classic text, Tsongkhapa’s Six Yogas of Naropa (particularly pgs 141-164), if others also take up the active role of reading, discussing the text.

ime, different systems have their strengths – and tend to sometimes over-do whatever they’re hot on. The Taoist system over-uses the five element conceptual structure, imo; their emphasis on that over-shadows the brain and nervous system.

We’re in an unprecedented age where knowledge systems from all over the world are available at the tips of…[Read more]

I think that there’s a lot to it, that popularly often gets only brief mention. The lobes and sections of the brain, how jing fills and moves through them, the various glands and how that relates to channels and transformation.

Paquas, collection pts, etc. I dropped all that stuff a while back.

Now I just hang out in the tan tiens, the deep-centers, the central channel, and the vast spaces that that it bridges to. I find that when I do that, the rest of the stuff goes along for the ride nicely.

Still standing stands in well for quiet sitting,
    better in some ways.

From your previous descriptions of practice, you’re doing that.

    Spyrelx,

    Good post.

1.> Just watch your breath >

One of the best techniques, imo. Does a lot that Taoists would applaude. Mixes breath and awareness all down through the whole vertical length of the torso. A lot of alchemical basics are taken care of,.. at least addressed, with this very simple technique. As energies get blended, its…[Read more]

I’m not in alignment with what’s going on here; I find that its an activity that I no longer wish to contribute to.

Thank you to all of the people who’ve shared wisdom and good company over these past few years. (I will occasionally check my private messages over at TaoBums.com, should any want to say “hi”.)

    cheers,
    Keith
