As the full moon approaches, many say that the energy on the planet gets a bit aggressive. Anyone know if emergency rooms really are busier on the full moon?
I’ve often felt a bit of this restlessness on and right before a full moon as well, so I’ve been inclined to believe that the moon is a bit of a trouble maker–the ADD kid of the natural world, if you will. In the past, my meditation teacher told me just to ignore the moon’s influence.
So, last night–the night before the full moon–I started feeling that full moon restlessness and decided to try some moongazing.
After 10 minutes of alternating moongazing and earthgazing (to relax my neck) I found that the restlessness was transformed into peacefulness. It was as if my previous restlessness was from being out of synch with the broadcast energy, and all I had to do was moongaze and moonbathe for a few minutes just to synch up with and not fight against the signal and I was peaceful for the rest of the night.
That seems to be a great improvement over the “just ignore it” advice I had gotten before.
I think this sudden influx of peace and tranquility has enbled me to practice jing retention again. I’m hoping that sungazing and moongazing are complementing and not counteracting and neutralizing each other. HRM, the sungazing/inedia teacher says that they will neutralize each other. Even if they do counteract, I’ve been overdoing the sungazing anyway (I can’t help it!) so that’ll take the intensity down a notch.
I just learned on the nature documentary “the blue planet” that some corals can synchronize their sperm and egg release timing to within one hour of each other over vast distances using the lunar phases as their clock.

Rainbows!Boy quite the stir up down below what with opinions and everything. Getting kind of hot in the forum. Well the truth always sifts to the top. Doesn’t really matter – but the information is great.

I have no clue what they are talking about down there. Probably take a few years of study to get a grip on it. Doesn’t appear to be a middle ground either.
Here’s the thing I worry about: When I die, I might come back a Catholic or something… Then what? Maybe my parents will have high speed Internet and I’ll be able to piece it all together again in a timely manner. That’s the plan anyway.

February 24, 2005 at 7:36 am #2896How do you do moongazing?
In cosmic healing poster sun has resonance point of third eye. This is easy: just close eyes, experience the color, and feast (like inner smile).Moon has the resonance point of perrineum. I didn’t quite figure how to do this. So I am generally just absorbing through energy body without specific physical reference. Just shift in energy ball, connect to moon, and eat. Then digest.
Must say didn’t try same procedure with sun. But then I see more of moon now then sun.February 24, 2005 at 12:53 pm #2898I’m pretty much winging it… There’s a post below in my Winn on sungazing thread by esotericwarrior who posted a yiquan sungazing technique that can be applied towards moongazing, but I’m just looking at the moon for awhile and then looking at the earth maybe 12 ft in front of me to ground the energy and give my neck a break if the moon’s high. I’m sure it can be done sitting and lying down too.
Resonance point of the perineum? I’ll have to dig up my copy of that book. I’m finding jing retention to be easier with moongazing, so that’s an interesting connection.
Thanks for pointing that out!

February 24, 2005 at 5:14 pm #2900I can’t find that reference in Cosmic Healing, do you remember what section the perineum remark was?
Thanks!
-YodaFebruary 28, 2005 at 10:16 am #2902Well, sacred geometry is somewhat …
1.axis: heaven-earth, up-down, crown-k1
2.axis: sun-moon, front-back, third eye/forehead centre-perrineumpoints are drawn on sceleton structure
in classic drawings of chakras on line of central channel both sexual palace vortex, perrineum vortex and sacrum vortex connect to same focal point. since hui yin is not sceleton point, k1 was chosen as it connects to body at perrineum.
this pocal point is a palace of inner moon (inner earth is higher)reference
ch1: 111, 103, 113
ch2: 132, 180-182, 154, 89ways to eat moon:

expand sacrum boneinteresting earth absorbtion:
-connecting to earth chi (layer just above ground)
-look at the edge of sky and earthLast shows how sungazing can also be earth gazing.
There is also practice of absorbing different light colour as form of inner smile(ch2, 27)
moon sphere is the same place -
