– how do you know the evil leader is evil? Are you a better judge than the Tao and the immortals? Don’t you understand that he may be doing something important, this leader, that he is there because he should be? Of course he can act how he wills. If he couldn’t do that he wouldn’t have the possibility of becoming enlightened!
Why don’t YOU go kill a leader or two?
See what I mean?
Plus, because there are so many poor leaders in society don’t people leave society to cultivate the Tao?
Read a book of changes fer crying out loud.

August 21, 2006 at 7:26 pm #16756Hi Fajin:
The entire discussion is based on the belief their are people who can do these things, most likely these things dont happen is because the people do not exist.
This is one difference from some aspects of Taoism and Chan, chan does not deal with beliefs and fantasies, some taoists should be hollywood.

Pooh! Are YOU ever in for a surprise one of these days! NN
August 21, 2006 at 7:28 pm #16760Then it`s not so easy! 🙂
In what way can you injure yourself? Do you mean physically?A friend (teacher as well) told me years back (when I first got interested into this stuff) that during a lucid dream (I think) he was with a friend once. And they got attack by some sort of spirits or something that lived in the wood that they were walking in. My friend escaped them, but the other one didn`t. They beat him up. So next day he woke up and was in pain, like someone beat him up in real life.
BTW, you don`t sound like my dad. lol
I understand what you`re saying. Have to work on my patience though…August 21, 2006 at 7:29 pm #16762Hi Bagua,
I know what the entire discussion is based. I think that you know about Guatama Buddha being able to fly over lakes and performing many other miraculous feats. Or what about Boddhidarma’s ears falling off and other legends. Everyone is entitled to their opinions.
Bye for now I have to go train,

G. Bush says he talks to God!

can happen, but not to me thank god. And it IS easy to do – IF you're patient, like any other spiritual skill. Not hard to learn a qigong form but how long to get good?
The kind of injury I refer to is eminently curable, it is to the energy body. The process of exiting and entering is harder the less (to be loose) 'enlightened' you are. You feel vibrations. If you have a very still and neutral mind and alot of energy you will feel something beautiful like sand running through your bones. If you have a mind that's easily distracted and not much energy you will hear voices, be attacked, feel like you are juddering over rocks inside your veins. I've had it both ways. I preferred the first way! It's a *very* good way to learn a still mind, because you have a good measure for when you're going right or wrong.
I'm better now, no real injuries anyhow, but I want to build this up and get REAL good at it, so I will take some time. I did it quick to satisfy my curiosity only – and ended up feeling ok about that actually. No cats killed. But there's more to life – it's just one more skill. NN

True, I get it now. Thank you.
In my attempts to project, I always came to a point where I felt like I was on a boat, sort of. It was like my entire body was swaying. But at that point my breathing usually changed, and my focus went to it and I kept thinking: “I breathe too shallow” or “I breathe too quick” or something like that. Next to that, I got a bit excited, so the feeling was gone. And always the same, in every attempt.
So the closest I got to an OBE, was a lucid dream. What did happen to me a few times though, is that I began seeing things in the area of my third eye. Sometimes it was places I never saw before, or faces. Once it was my bathroom lol. But the more I tried to focus on it, and see what was there, the smaller the image got, untill it disappeared.
One more thing. You mentioned hearing voices. It happened to me a few times, that I began hearing music, and also sometimes I heard voice talking, but I didn`t understand them or couldn`t hear them well enough. But it didn`t feel like it was a bad thing, just interesting.

It's not really BAD. But poor Peterson, for example, heard voices suddenly commanding him to stop and return to his body, or radios playing hockey games at deafening volume so he wanted to scream. But he was REALLY klutzy at the beginning. Shows anyone can get it, if they persevere – although from what I've heard about his more recent books, his development hasn't gone that far. But I like that first book of his because it's so cheerfully gung-ho and he's an intelligent guy who asks alot of pertinent questions.
Good luck if you pursue!

Nature is not kind;
It treats all things impartially.
The Sage is not kind,
And treats all people impartially.August 21, 2006 at 8:02 pm #16776August 21, 2006 at 8:03 pm #16778August 21, 2006 at 8:05 pm #16780August 21, 2006 at 11:15 pm #16782They eliminated all there past and future evils. We can all wash away the sorted past. They just took care of what they where responsible for. Evil leaders have there place. They exist becuase there is evil in man. Kill a evil leader one will take his place. It is a relationship between the leaders and the lead. After the american revolution was won the people of america wanted to make George Washington emperor. How do you kill that? As jernej likes to say “vampires are smart they only inter when invited”.
