..also documentary on his work, Rivers and Tides, on dvd.
Keith,
The dvd has great reviews on amazon; have you seen it?
I was inspired last summer by pictures of his work in some books I have. On some walks in a local forest, I would gather rocks, snail shells and sticks, and make baguas, spirals and tai chi symbols. What I made probably looked like a mess to anyone passing by (which would mostly be squirrels and raccoons), but it felt really wonderful to engage with the landscape in that way.

Yeah. Loved it. This guy is a real intuitive. He goes outside, to an area, and usually has no idea what he’s going to create – and does the most amazing stuff. His process is to really dialogue with the land, the natural elements,… his art is an expression of that dialogue. To hear him talk about the process (which sometimes sounds a little silly, admittedly, but when you let go and groove with it), it shifts your perspective on interaction with nature, on art.
