>>>When Lifeforce’s special task is to debauch,
>>>to destroy innocence; who is the Devil then?I don’t think this is the lifeforce’s special task. Your comment is a personal judgment of its behavior; it is simply a creative force.
What it chooses to create? Who knows.
It’s not even a given there is any “master plan” (i.e. “mind of God”) behind it all.Daoist view is to harmonize with it upon recognition that everyone is caught in its influence . . . and recognizing that everyone is caught in its influence, to invoke a principle of liberty . . . thus maximizing personal freedom while having a common understanding that “we are all in it together”.
“The Devil” would be any symbolic representation (real or not) of someone who does not want to surrender and harmonize with the lifeforce, nor cares about anyone else in relation to himself. “The Devil” would be preaching that one should work toward separating off, following any hedonistic desires one wishes, and at zero concern or conscience for how it may affect others. If someone else is brutally harmed, murdered, damaged, etc. as a result of your personal desire for more pleasure, more power, more separation, then so be it. Concerns for anyone else are considered cross-purposes to the goals of “The Devil”.
In short: Lifeforce is doing something. Good/bad . . . who knows? Devil says reject the path the lifeforce is laying out for you in total, and feel no guilt/hesitation/conscience/remorse for hurting others to satisfy your own wants.
I don’t subscribe to the Urantia book philosophy, but in that model, the Adjusters are basically trying to guide you to follow the lifeforce’s plan (i.e. “mind of God”) and help you to understand it better. This is obviously in direct contrast to the Devil’s approach. The Devil is basically saying that what the lifeforce (or mind of God) wants is irrelevant to personal selfish goals, and is ultimately something one should be against if one wants personal power maximized.

March 22, 2015 at 8:21 pm #44103Are uncorrupted people interested in sinister things? Since most people are interested in “sinister” things [Are hero/villain tales told for the voice of the good or the bad? Look at how much time is spent on demons vs. angels in Hieronymus Bosch’s visions of heaven and hell…], I found it admirable that you were uncomplicatedly frank.

This is a gathering of Lovers.
In this gathering
there is no high, no low,
no smart, no ignorant,
no special assembly,
no grand discourse,
no proper schooling required.
There is no master,
no disciple.
This gathering is more like a drunken party,
full of tricksters, fools,
mad men and mad women.
This is a gathering of Lovers.

The Fool comes to the foot of an enormous black mountain…March 25, 2015 at 8:15 am #44107The word derives from “Old English syn(n), for original *sunjō… The stem may be related to that of Latin sons, sont-is guilty. In Old English there are examples of the original general sense, offence, wrong-doing, misdeed'”. The Biblical terms translated from New Testament Greek (αμαρτία – amartia) and from Hebrew as “sin” or “syn” originate in archery and literally refer to missing the “gold” at the centre of a target, but hitting the target, i.e. error. (Archers call not hitting the target at all a “miss”.)
-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sin#EtymologyA common theme is the inversion of ideals: betrayal is the ultimate form of devotion, petty delinquency is brazen heroism, and confinement is freedom. Genet appropriates Christian language and concepts to pursue an alternative form of “sainthood” with its own trinity of “virtues” – homosexuality, theft, and betrayal. Each burglary is set up as quasi-religious ritual, and the narrator describes his self-preparation for his crimes like that of a monk in a vigil of prayer, readying himself for a “holy” life.
-http://forum.healingdao.com/general/message/25372/Maybe this is some kind of open secret because there seem to be persons who think like that.
Anyway this presence of so many religions (or whatever worldview) and their contradictory ideals should make one question the nature of their authority.
What is Lifeforce trying to do there?

Though there is evidence to suggest that a martyr named Pantaleon existed, some consider the stories of his life and death to be purely legendary.
-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_PantaleonThe only thing that could unite the planet is a united space program…the earth becomes a space station and war is simply out, irrelevant, flatly insane in a context of research centers, spaceports, and the exhilaration of working with people you like and respect toward an agreed-upon objective, an objective from which all workers gain. The planetary space station will give all participants an opportunity to function.

Are uncorrupted or saintly people unfairly prone to sinister and demonic attacks of the Lifeforce?

It’s a good question, I think, but I don’t know how to tell if people are uncorrupted or saintly; what is fair or unfair; or what is sinister and demonic. Perhaps someone else knows.
