Mantak Chia says, if I understood right, that during practice we put 95% of our attention on the lower tan tien and 5% elsewhere …
I have gone trough MW dvd-s, but he does not mention nothing about it, for example when spinning the pearl around in fusion practice …
Please for clarification … 🙂
Peace, Jox 🙂
January 3, 2014 at 5:28 pm #41739I’ve never heard of this, but it sounds reasonable to me.
Getting out of one’s head and deep into your body is key to making alchemy work.S

Cosmic healing I., page 20:
“Keep on gently smiling and softly breathing into the Tan Tien and feel
the suction in the abdomen. Focus 95 % of your awareness in the Tan Tien and 5 % in
the sacrum, the crown and the mideyebrow. Be aware of the Tan Tien breathing and
observe internally the pulsing and breathing in the sacrum, the mideyebrow and the
crown. Do this 36 times.”http://universal-tao.com/admin/journalx5.pdf:
G. Fast Microcosmic Orbit Practice
After 100 days of this practice, you can do the fast Orbit practice: (1) Chi Kung Warm-up, (2) Activate Original Force, and (3) Activate Five pulses.1. Fix your mind, eye, and heart power at the Original Force, and activate the five pulses:
a.The crown pulse, feel your breath drawing in the universe: violet/red unconditional love.
b. The mid-eyebrow pulse draws in the cosmic golden light and determination power of the mind.
c. The palms pulse and draw in the earth and cosmic energies. Face the palms down and feel them breathing and pulsing.
d. The soles pulse draws in the earths blue, gentle, kindness force.
e. Perineum breathing and pulse.
2. Sometimes you can be aware of the light in one or two forces: Fix your mind 95% in the Original Force, 5% at the five pulses. When you inhale feel yourself draw in the Chi from the five pulses. Exhale condensing to the Original Force. Feel the loving energy in the heart and sexual compassion in the Sexual Center as they mix in the Original Force.
3. Do for 5, 10, or 20 minutes.
4. Move energy in the Microcosmic Orbit with the mind and breath for 9 to 36 repetitions. Rest, feel that the whole body has love and an orgasmic feeling inside.
5. Collect the energy.Jox … 🙂
January 4, 2014 at 7:34 am #41743Yes, Cosmic Healing is definitely like this.
A big emphasis is to keep your attention on the dantian and the universe.
You want to continually be funneling energy from the universe to your dantian, and then out to the patient you are healing as a continuous stream. This is to amplify the amount of energy you deliver to your patient, while at the same time, not depleting any of your own energy.
So, in short, in a Cosmic Healing setting, it makes even more sense.

January 5, 2014 at 12:12 pm #41745Right now were working six days a week. Some people are working seven days a week I do but for a lot of people, working seven days a week is not sustainable. The factory is operational seven days a week but most people we only ask to work six days a week right now and, obviously, we want to get that to a more reasonable number. I think people can sustain a 50-hour work week. I think thats a good work week. If youre joining Tesla, youre joining a company to work hard. Were not trying to sell you a bill of goods. If you can go work for another company and then maybe you can work a 40-hour work week. But if you work for Tesla, the minimum is really a 50-hour week and there are times when itll be 60- to 80-hour weeks. If somebody is hourly, they receive time-and-a-half, but if somebody is salary, then we do cash and stock bonuses for going above and beyond the call of duty. So we try to make it fair compensation, but the general understanding is that if youre at Tesla, youre choosing to be at the equivalent of Special Forces. Theres the regular Army, and thats fine, but if you are working at Tesla, youre choosing to step up your game. And that has pluses and minuses. Its cool to be Special Forces, but it also means youre working your ass off. Its not for everyone.
-ELON MUSKBrain death is the irreversible end of brain activity (including involuntary activity necessary to sustain life) due to total necrosis of the cerebral neurons following loss of brain oxygenation. It should not be confused with a persistent vegetative state. Patients classified as brain-dead can have their organs surgically removed for organ donation. Even after brain death, the working of the heart might continue at a slow pace, but there will be no respiratory effort.

This is actually totally controversial claim.
It’s true that Healing and Neidan are very different, but still…
For example Chao Pi Ch’en is teaching that practice starts from the original cavity of the spirit which is between and behind the eyes.
Should one be brain dead or what?

January 5, 2014 at 2:04 pm #41747When I say ALCHEMY, I’m talking about Healing Tao alchemy.
That’s what I do, and that’s what this Forum is based on.
Not on other systems. There are plenty of systems out there that focus on the third eye as their main transformational tool, but we do not want a body-spirit split in the Healing Tao. In our belief system, we want the body transformed with the spirit. If the practices are not integrated in with the body, then the body is left behind in the process. From doing over 7 years of Healing Tao practices, over 1000 hours of live training, and tons of personal practice time, I can say that the Healing Tao practices do not integrate in, if you are not embodied.
No one is going to be brain-dead. The problem is the opposite.
Far too much brain activity due to our over-thinking, over-analyzing, society, without consciousness distributed throughout the body.In any case, it was clear from Jox’s follow-up question, he was asking about Cosmic Healing, where it is even more critical to have attention focused on the dantian (and its connection to the universe). This is so you do not deplete your own energy when you heal others, and that you use energy from the universe/cosmos instead.
The 95% figure, I doubt very highly is any kind of mathematically accurate measure. It is clear that the expression is meant to demonstrate the critical importance of having as much as possible of your attention on your dantian (and its connection to the universe) while doing Cosmic Healing.

January 5, 2014 at 8:39 pm #41749The Tantric College of Lower Hla-sa teaches eight great tantric systems of instruction for the stage of completion: Nagarjuna’s system of Guhyasamaja, Jnanapada’s system of Guhyasamaja, Luhipada’s system of Chakrasamvara, Ghantapada’s system of Chakrasamvara, the system of Kalachakra, the system of the three Yamaris, the system of Mahachakra, and the Six yogas of Naropa.
-DANIEL COZORT, Highest Yoga TantraWhy do people die, if they have no diseases? Old age is the reason, you may say. But why does this old age come, what is the mechanism of it? A man grows old and dies because he is spending his vital energy. It’s like a battery in a toy, when the battery is new the toy car runs, but when the battery has run out the toy car stops…And what kind of “battery” is it? It is something that is located in the area of the abdomen in the human body (compare stomach and stamina).
-http://all-dao.com/essence-taoist-alchemy.htmlThis past summer, Daniel Cozort, associate professor of religion, suffered a bicycle accident on July 15 that left him paralyzed from the waist down. Now, six months later he has returned to Dickinson to continue what he has been doing for the past 25 years: teaching.
-http://www2.dickinson.edu/dickinsonian/detail.cfm?6204While putting the generative force into orbit it is of paramount importance to locate the original cavity of spirit in the brain which is precisely where the light manifests in the head when the practiser succeeds in concentrating his seeing effectively on the central spot between and behind the eyes. If this is not done the radiant inner fire rising to the head during the microcosmic orbiting may be mistaken for that light and wrongly driven into a minor psychic center in the head from which it will be very difficult to dislodge it. Many untutored and inexperienced practicers make this mistake which hinders the process of alchemy.
-CHAO PI CH’EN/LU K’UAN YU, Taoist Yoga: The Sexual Teachings of the Ancient Chinese MastersWell, well now they have published this CHAO PI CH’EN text (E-book version) with somehow too racy title, but maybe it sells more like that, but some might be quite disappointed if they expect really proper sex literature.
Yes and Buddhists also in monasteries seemingly still study not only their own traditional material, but also for example Hindu philosophical thought (ṣad-darśana).
My point here was mainly that if rational control and rationality is something which is not good as a spiritual practice, one should take a look how UT/HT curriculum is constructed, but maybe one shouldn’t do that, at least not here and now.
Anyway Chao Pi Ch’en was mentioned only because he seems to be very Taoist, first of all, and that system of formulas doesn’t ignore learning to distribute the consciousness throughout the body.
Here it’s just important to notice some basic dangers and my idea was especially that one should start from something which one understands why one is doing that.

Ps. Sorry for my invalid English.
