so since i came to china i’ve had this B.o. problem. never had it in the states. hell, i could wear the same work out clothes for a week and never put any stank into ‘um, but now in china, even just my street clothes get the funk. it’s like in the clothes and nothing takes it out. really foul too.
i’ve started up hitting to detoxify again, but i was doing that when i first came here too. is it the move from a temperate zone to the tropics? change in diedt? the water?
i’ve even advanced in the formulas and it’s still going on, so is it due to toxicity?
i don’t know.
funny thing is, it doesnt seem to be coming from my body cuz when i take the clothes off it’s not there. but then where is it coming from? and it only happens at certain critical temperatures in hot weather. no prob in the short winters we have here.
any ideas how to deal with this?
April 10, 2006 at 7:16 am #12642Yeah, Bob, same thing happens to me every time I go up into far north western australia.
After a couple of days there, I REALLY stink. First time I thought “what the…….” but then I realised, it wasn’t just me, EVERYONE up there stinks.
It seems to be something to do with that particular environmet. A combination of the air, water, dust.
When I return home, it remains part of my B.O. for about a week, then just disappears.
I notice the same smell when someone from up there comes down here. Gotta be from absorbing the environment into the body. Does’t help when the temperature sits above 42C for months.
At least for me, chi nei tsang (self applied) gets it (and other smells) out quicker, as do the healing sounds.April 11, 2006 at 9:53 pm #12644The air quality is best described as “shitty”. And it’s gotten worse since i came here. Its way worse than anything in america, including new york and LA. The water is equally bad. if i drink water, i drink bottled, but i cook and make coffee/tea with tap water.
in the US i ate at mcdonald’s about once every two years. in china i eat at mcdonalds once or twice a week. i also smoke more here. Organic produce is extremely rare and the selection limited. fortunatel;y i live above walmart and can get some. you get tired of onions and bell peppers after a while though. they also have carrots and some greens i dont know waht to do with and lettuce. i eat a lot of fresh salads in the summer.
i exercise more here and do qigong/neidan more. also drink more alcohol as it is central to life here, espcially if you do business. but i stick mostly to beer. i can usually go five to six days without drinking. i also sauna fairly frequently and get regualr foot massages.
i eat far less pizza here. it sucks. pizza hut is the best pizza in town if you can dig that. i do eat a lot more sichuan food, and it is HOT!
matblack offered the explanation of climate, which i am sure is part of it. however, my friends dont seem to be getting the same funk that i am. we’re all affected differently by different things though, so the fact that they are not is no proof of anything. could be they do gget it when they work out and just arent talking about it.
well, i think that’s the major stuff. probably a lot more chemicals ion the food here because it’s very poorly regulated and even more poorly enforced.

something I should have said last time which ties in with maxs’ take on things.
I nothice that when I used to eat a lot of hot/spicy food, I would have some pretty illegal BO. It’s my feeling that it was clogging up my lymphatics. So while my body wanted to get rid of it, the overload was too much, this also applied to any junk food, it would make me stink. It was like my body would try to get rid of it as quickly as possible, in warm weather, the fastet route = armpits.
I have been working at a popluar tourist attraction for a bit over a year.
One thing I notice consistently is that I can smell the food comming out of people who eat a lot of hot stuff – mainly people from India :pungent/spicy/oily. Some are a walking dahl masala.Aside from avoiding junk/hot food, (most effective, obviously) some things for the lymphatics :
-Swinging arms
-that move from Tao Yin where you lay on your back , raise your arms and legs and shake like a baby
-gently up and down on a mini tramopleneThese might help to pump and drain the lymphatic system so the toxins/smell don’t hang around causing BO.

April 12, 2006 at 10:40 pm #12648Interestingly, it seems to be coming from the lower back, not the pits…
I’ve decided to do some sacral tapping in my hitting practice.

cut the sichuan spice for a while, it may be overloading your lungs, which may be dumping the excess spice out the skin and over flowing into kidneys/low back.to get a good test, cut out the spice for at least a month.
and burn all your old clothes.
just for fun.
