Your first line of defence is the integrity of your word. Practice speaking with integrity. I would recomend getting in touch with your lung spirit. It takes alot of energy to fit in, to be false. To be an individual giving freely your message will give you energy, I guaranty. This is not easy but it is some thing you can feel good about. I wish to see your message, to be your self is to be beautiful.

The resonance of your beautiful statement is now making its way through the galaxy to the center of the universe, affecting everyone in its path. -A

how about a source OF biochemicals.. you can feed someone the proper transmitter molecules and create a psychic for 12 hours..
what gene results in a child living in a flat out pain free universe due to simple neurotransmitter omission?
why is it that a simple molecule can induce what 15 years of yoga can’t?
“When we think in those kinds of terms we are deluding ourselves.”
about what? pain can be turned on and off via one chemical..
psychic brain function can be turned on and off via one chemical..the wonders of modern biochemistry speak for themselves..
“We do this so we do not have to face the problem of being the creator of what we see and feel and have”
we do it because it works.. it’s NOT a spiritual answer, it’s a RESULTS answer.. if anything combine the two, but please realize that “smiling golden light everywhere” could really swell up your pituitary..
if we can learn to switch our involuntary neurochemical systems at will that’s something..
but external food sources work better..
“and go through the intense process of facing our shame and guilt”
some of these yogas tend to exaggerate the mental presence of something
June 23, 2006 at 5:21 pm #14884Dear Intelligence,
You are very focussed on the brain and thinking, and in very deep distrust of intuition and spirit. You sound really angry to me. As if you’ve been locked out of Paradise and can’t get in. You argue against what to me and Daoism is the Source of all things in favor of what are obviously externals (biochemistry) and are not causal. All that is in the so-called scientific world came from/is part of a deeper place. Daoism (and all other spiritual study systems) is about that deeper place and how we can reattune to it.
You may be able to give a person a drug to turn them into a psychic for awhile but that is not the same as being able to live in that state as your normal state. Life is about growing awareness and that is an internal thing. All the things we can “take” are external and will never take the place of living light which is our essence and real food. Besides us having an almost inexhaustible amount of personal evidence about the truth of this, these things have actually been proven in the various sciences over and over for decades and are unquestionable at this point. THAT is part of what I was referring to when I said we delude ourselves. Denial is the act of saying things are one way when we can see they are another but don’t want to admit that because it frightens us.
We tend to focus on the outside because we are afraid to focus on the inside. For when we do we have to feel our pain and the ego will and does do anything to keep from that because its inevitable conclusion is: “I am worthless.” Our work involves us in seeing through the delusion that we are empty inside and that process has to bring us face to face with all the resistance we have. When this is done you have the states we are talking about in your body and there are no questions anymore.
Why is it that a simple molecule can induce what 15 years of yoga can’t?
Who says that’s true?
If that has been your experience then why haven’t you looked at the fact that many, many people HAVE attained great states through yoga and related systems? The reason you may not have asked yourself that question is the answer to the question, “Of what are we deluding ourselves?”The “wonders of biochemistry” have produced a form of “medicine” (allopathy) which is actually one of the leading causes of death in the world because its proponents do not understand what we are or what we are doing here and don’t want to know. You are wrong to say: “it’s NOT a spiritual answer”. You do not yet understand where everything is coming from. There is a psychology of insanity active on this planet that obscures the truth of what and who we are.
If you really believe that externals work better, what the heck are you doing on an internal practices forum anyway?
Drugs have a place. And agents like ecstasy and the like may show us what is possible and give us some room to process out some of our pain. But they are way-showers only.
In order for you to answer your own questions you have to get out of your head and into your heart-mind. THAT is where the answers and solutions lie. Science apart from nature/spirit/heart is not science. Reliance on chemicals is a dead-end addiction path. All things come from the spiritual realm and you seem not to be able to see this right now. I honor you on your path however.
When we speak of using light or love and the inner smile we are speaking of attuning to the source energy and allowing it to calibrate itself to us and raise our frequency. Believe me when I tell you, my pituitary is quite healthy from many years of practice. When you speak like that it sounds paranoid to me. That is why I say you do not trust.
“some of these yogas tend to exaggerate the mental presence of something”
Again, the problem as it reads to me, is that you are in your head about this because it doesn’t look safe to be elsewhere.
You are questioning what to many of us is a real, tangible, usable substance and presence. Not a “mental something.” Please get this!
I wish you peace, Alexander
June 23, 2006 at 11:32 pm #14886okay, i’m pretty simple-minded, and don’t really get half of what you guys are talking about, but i know that the last time i did lsd (which was a LONG time ago), my precious trees decided that they wanted to attack me. the chemicals are OFF my list from that point on.
June 26, 2006 at 2:48 pm #14888I’m just emphasizing the point while playing devil’s advocate..
althought on a bad day it is..
