This is the first part (9 minutes) of a six part interview with
Pema Chodron (American Tibetan Buddhist nun). All six parts are
worth watching, in my opinion . . . SSeptember 26, 2010 at 7:33 am #35397I haven’t yet had time to watch this.
It’s clear that CT has been special person, but his alcoholism and some other excessives, haven’t been anything else that self-indulgence and very very self-destructive in bodily sense.
On the other hand if he’s been regarded to be mahasiddha, also Naropa has been described in historical texts as guy with big belly, who constantly was chewing betel leaf, at least during those times he might have interacted with maharajas.
If one is not a real superman (for example in the style of Matter-Eater Lad in the DC Universe, heh heh), there is no excuse for such gratifications.
So Pema Chödrön was Chögyam Trungpa’s student and should be teacher in his tradition.
I wonder what happens to some guys.
Also Chögyal Namkhai Norbu seem to have contracted some kind of eating disorder when reaching middle-age and he has been looking for decades much older than he actually is.
HOWDY
September 26, 2010 at 2:44 pm #35399He certainly had some reckless extravagant excesses in his life,
that’s to be sure . . . and it IS an interesting question as to
why a good number of “spiritually advanced” people go off kilter,
BUTPema Chodron has not been a student of his in 23+ years due to his death,
and she is a spiritual teacher in her own right, so any judgments
of her–if there are to be any–should be based on her own teachings
and what she does. Moreover, even though she is a Buddhist, many of
her insights are trans-denominational in nature and I think are
a useful adjunct to Daoist cultivation. As such, you should reserve judgment until you’ve actually seen
the interview. If you watch the whole thing (all 6 parts), it
is still less than a hour in total; doesn’t take that much time.S

posit: enochian is noachian, really Atlantean…
check out the work on the ENOCHIAN as a 4D Octahedron
if so, it is inside the engine of the Kalachakra as an Atlantean manifestation
