” The Buddha spoke thus –
There is a unique way for the purification of beings, for the destruction of suffering, for the attainment of wisdom (i.e. the Noble Eightfold Path) and for the realization of Nibbàna – namely, the Four Foundations of Mindfulness.
What are the four?
Herein (in this Teaching) a disciple lives:
(i) contemplating the body in the body, energetic, clearly comprehending, mindful, giving up covetousness and grief in this world;
(ii) contemplating the feelings;
(iii) contemplating the states of mind;
(iv) contemplating the dhammas.How does a disciple live contemplating the body?
Exercising;
(a) Mindfulness on breathing (b) on Bodily Postures (c) on Awareness (d) Reflection on Loathsomeness (e) Reflection on Elements (f) Reflection on the Nine Kinds of Corpses (Navasãvathikàpabba)On reflecting the nine kinds of corpses;”

Cemetery meditationApril 19, 2005 at 11:24 am #4731I bet Singning Ocean could really talk about Mara and Paranoia
for us all!Just out of Curiosity…
Singing Ocean are you Male or Female?
Well if you not to paranoid to answer…As for the Sexual Tension part, I would like to share a story.
One time I was at this Richy retreat place with my ex wife and my
Mother in Laws family at the time. So after dinner one nigth my ex and her Mom and
me went out to this club in the place. We were hanging out and stuff and
decided to dance a little.So were dancing right, well I kinda glanced at her mom for a second and
BAM, she gave me this look like she wanted to FUCK my brains out!
Creaming in her Panties kinda thingy…
I was like WOOOOO!
Then it occured to me that people who do not practice the healing love
are very instinctual. That is people, we are ANIMALS by nature.
Its only through spiritual cultivation that we become more spiritual, especially towards our body. Mating in the Jungle was very Carnal!In any case, from that day on, I always felt this sort of sexually tension
between us!I think my ex picked up on it too, and that made her feel very uncomfortable!
So what does all this mean…
Figure it out HONEY!
Peace…
April 20, 2005 at 8:27 pm #4733I would like to ask what the benefit is of observing someone elses decomposing corpse. I have seen video footage of the carnage left over by the rwandan genocide. That seems like an external approach to me. Why not do the inner smile, and actively accept the body-consciousness-vibration of the vital organ shen. Acceptance is a good way to open the heart, when actively combined with qigong.
Also, when practicing mindfuless and observation of the body, feelings, states of mind, and dhammas, what is your method of transforming stuck emotional and energetic patterns? How do you dissolve them into nothingness (transform the jing into shen?). what happens if there are vital organ shen that are resistant to letting go of their physical existence? In other words, how do you transform the jing into shen in your method? by observation?
If you can’t answer this, then say you can’t answer, end of comment. I don’t need any stories about how great your method is.
thanks.
April 20, 2005 at 8:32 pm #4735this is not new to me, I studied under this african american tantric guy named Benet Lucion who learned in Puna india. He has eaten only wheat, wheatgrass and clay for over 40 years, is about 70 and is in great health, and has had sex with over 3000 females, and that he carries the universe around with him.
He claimed that in order to learn his method, you had to pay him 5000 dollars, because thats how much he gave to his teacher in gold.
He still hasn’t solved his ego issues, though.
sound familiar?
April 20, 2005 at 10:19 pm #4737You have a trust Issue!
Its not Healthy. You need to correct it!
Or you risk losing out on the DAO.
This doesnt mean you throw away your intellect.
April 20, 2005 at 10:36 pm #4739Your questions are too ignorant and shallow for Mr. Max or anyone to answer. Also Mr. Max doesnt owe you an answer.
Peace out!!
April 20, 2005 at 11:41 pm #4741Thank you for your comment.
I’m still waiting with anticipation your view on dual non-lust cultivation raised on TaoBum. Should be interesting.

Please do so, because it explains in details the theory behind it.<<< I have seen video footage of the carnage left over by the rwandan genocide. <<< That seems like an external approach to me. Why not do the inner smile, <<< and actively accept the body-consciousness-vibration of the vital organ <<< shen. Acceptance is a good way to open the heart, when actively combined <<< with qigong. This method is not for opening the heart. Please, read info from the link to understand what it's for. Inner smile has a different effect that is not very useful if one wants to deal with their sense pleasures and sexual lust. <<< Also, when practicing mindfuless and observation of the body, <<< feelings, states of mind, and dhammas, what is your method of <<< transforming stuck emotional and energetic patterns? How do you <<< dissolve them into nothingness (transform the jing into shen?). <<< what happens if there are vital organ shen that are resistant to <<< letting go of their physical existence? In other words, how do you <<< transform the jing into shen in your method? by observation? A simple empty mind meditation will do all that. Then, as you progress, you will move beyond the concept of meditation or emptiness. There is an idea being pushed around that the transformation of Jing to Chi to Shen only can happen if you actively and consciously pursue this transformations to take place through specific techniques/formulas. In my opinion, it's just one type of the methods. And how effective any methods are to make this transformations happen depends on many factors, including person's merit.
April 21, 2005 at 12:19 am #4747April 21, 2005 at 12:39 am #4749I don’t think it’s a trust issue. I think its an issue of people who think they know the answer to everything but aren’t ready to back it up with anything that works.
I have found my answer that works for me. all answers, even if we were a complete immortal, would still be in process because the dao is not a frozen object.
Have a great day.
April 21, 2005 at 12:48 am #4751That is a little out of my League…
If you trully understood the dynamics on this site you would
understand why answers are just not thrown around!April 21, 2005 at 1:18 am #4753As far as I can tell, there have not really been any concepts to debate or discuss so far, only personal insults, allusions to grandeur and witty remarks. I am satisfied doing my practice and I hope you are satisfied with yours (sincerely). Everyone is dealing with their own destiny and issues, I wish you all the best with your cultivation.
It was a beautiful sunny day today!
