I am thinking of making the bagua a portal for entry to the homepage,
to give folks a moment to pause and absorb the sacred geometry and color.Interested in any feedback on this idea, or whether portals are just a nuisance. Or feedback on cosmology behind the symbol, whether its useful or too heavy for new arrivals to the site.

michaelFor most of the new people, it could be confusing and they may just click away. You can test simular idea on your newer sites- see if it has any difference on traffic/sales. If it works, do it here. Otherwise, don’t mess with an old site, from SEO perspective.
I think it would be nice, and refreshing as long theres no “Flash Elements” to tick you off to click out. I think Healing Tao offers a true alternative here in the USA for our Western Qigong, Meditation & Taoist Arts movement. What is nice is that there is grounded basis to all that is offer and you don’t ride on the Master so & so malarchy. The symbol has the info about the Bagua which is nice and most people are hungry for the information I vote “Yes” proudly.
I’m a relatively new arrival to the site (2 and a half months).
And I love to look at the symbol. I personally don’t find it heavy, rather, beautifully powerful.
