It seems that there are holidays in many cultures around the world on and around this time. Does anyone know of any Daoist holidays and practices on and around October 31? I suppose it wouldn’t have traditionally been known to have taken place on that date since they used a different calendar, but it could have taken place on a date on their old calendar that corresponds with the new one.
    Thanks

Hi depending on what path of the Traditions you follow it can vary; each path has its own beliefs and rituals, ceremonies etc…but most of the followers of rituals observe in 10th lunar month on 14th day fuxi founder of forcasting system i ching.

On the next day the 15th Shui Guan (Guardian of the Water Phase), aka known as guardian of the last season. With this mantras and pracuse ceremonies and rituals are taught and followed.

Also beginning and ending months dates are considered cycles of beginning and returning. Generally beginning dates, weeks qi, luck and fortune can be more stronger than ending dates.

hope that helps in some way…SL
