    Hello all,
Is it normal to have the experience of “detoxing” after practicing qigong? By “detoxing” I refer to side effects such as fatigue or emotional lability. I have recently started working with the Deep Healing qigong and Primordial tai chi and have been observing some symptoms of this kind. I wonder if they are attributable to the practice and, if so, will they resolve soon?
    thanks,
    Elephant

It can. Especially if you are quite ill–physically or emotionally.
Oftentimes it can be the case that the tension you hold in everyday life disappears, and you become aware of the fatigue that you already have deep within. Many are quite exhausted and keep themselves going through adrenaline and tension. When you remove this unhealthy stimulation, you notice the fatigue you already have.

Listen to your body’s needs. Sleep when your body requests it and get proper nutrition. Typically this fatigue will resolve after a period of time, when your physical and emotional health strengthen.
