I started doing the microcosmic orbit–I got the Ren Mai(front channel) VERY open, and it felt wonderful. I felt a soothing sense of deep inner peace when that stubborn side opened.
This is definitely a practice I want to continue.
BUT now both my low back and feet are VERY cold. That never happens, whatsoever. This morning, I not only woke up without my customary morning erection, but, try as I might, I couldn’t get it to arise either. That’s very unlike me–I’m a pretty young guy and have never battled with that at all.
Anyways, I’m also an acupuncturist–I’ve been feeling my pulses and they’re definitely weaker than usual–in all positions.
Is this normal at all? I’m curious if, because I opened up my Ren Mai so strongly if my Kidney Yin might have increased so fast that my Kidney Yang is having trouble steaming it that quickly—Is that ever possible?
What my pulses seem to be reflecting to me is that my kidneys are a little weaker–even though my symptoms are VERY weak VERY fast. (Urination is fine, though, no tinnitus or anything either–just VERY cold.)
Any advice from those of you who have tread the path would be HIGHLY appreciated!
September 29, 2010 at 7:39 pm #35447Without the description of your orbit practice, my initial
instinct is just that you are possibly overly fatigued
and/or at worst, on the verge of the onset of a cold/flu.However, given that you said you recently finally got your
“blocked” front channel to open, it is also quite likely that
this is nothing more than a “detox reaction” and your body is
just feeling a little more pooped at a result. You can
try some gentle Healing Sounds to help with some toxic release. In total, it’s nothing I’d be too overly concerned about,
at least in the short term anyway. Just make sure you are
eating properly and giving your body proper rest.S
