i have excess fire. my practices are all good, very strong, from the fundamentals to the kand and li, i just always have to deal with excess fire. any good practices for fixing this besides doing the fire sound for a half hour at a time. lately i’ve been inhaling the water up to cool the fire spirit and then exhaling excess fire. it works but always seems temporary.
the reason i have this problem is from 13 years of kundalini/fire work with bad teachers and bad resources. raised all that fire and now i gotta get rid of it, or at least balance it. oh, it’s gotten better since i started taoist methods, but now i’d like to make a big push to fix it once and for all. any suggestions? i don’t want any scholarly debates about kundalini, just practical methods to hel pwith this issue.

Several solutions.
1. Water anchors fire. This approach works on stabalizing the lower tan tien as the basis for water. This includes anchoring~integrating earth energy.
Some qi gong resources that work along that line:
The Fabulous Four
Little Orbit
Sun Dobtw, Yi Swallows Qi, which is part of the Fab-Four, is a superior heat-clearing technique.
2. Taking up an internal martial art, greatly assists in long-term development of better root. ..which allows you to anchor fire, build water.
3. Herbs (yin and blood tonics). Can be helpful but don’t address the root cause of increasing the capacity of your body to stabalize water. Yet, still, often very helpful on the way. Drinking lots of water between meals (so as not to dilute digestion) is one of the best things to do along these lines – makes a big difference.

November 9, 2004 at 7:43 am #1805you cannot get rid of fire
you can shiftpractices cannot be good
practices can be effordless or strenous (thus ineffective)
they are tools to live not to pleasefire is not just fire.
fire= outer fire, inner water
contemplate outer fire:
if you are cultivating outer fire, understand it’s purpuse is to nurture something through destruction of elimination of obstacles for the nurtured.
it’s like bullet. you can use it once. one arousal and all is consumed.
thus the ancients cultivated silence.water=outer water, inner fire
contemplate inner fire:
inner fire of water is of the strongest intensity. water can take every shit 10000 times and still not forget its inspiration. no outer fire take it. every gentleness is fueled by such fire that cannot be bent nor drowned.
thus the ancients cultivated gentleness.to know, to dare, to do and to be silent
have you studied water?November 9, 2004 at 9:55 pm #1807yeah, ok, my practices are effortless, results come without struggle, i leap to the next formula without trying in a very short time. and my ego mind finds it pleasing, which is probably ok for now since it provides encouragement to keep at it.
