click on the FAQ link in the navigation sidebar on homepage, also below.
Also open to feedback on any individual FAQ or on the overall organization/presentation.
I am leaning to reducing the Ten Essential Principles to Nine, swayed by numerous postings here….:)
The FAQs is very much a work in progress. If there are other questions you feel should be included, please post them here or email me at winn@healingdao.com
thanks,
MichaelJanuary 7, 2007 at 3:54 am #20244excellent, this is truly groundbreaking work, and very much needed on the planet right now.
January 7, 2007 at 10:46 am #20246Have you ever considered putting that whole q&a in a free downloadable pdf? If it were me I would make it a free booklet; people like freebe’s & is easier to read all of that. Most people will leave if they have to be click crazy on a site.
Webdesign 101: keep it simple & not a barage of links, people make their desicions within 3 minutes or less on staying on a site or not base on the ease of navigation.
The information is great, but I would do it as a downloadble pdf. This would let people take the time to digest it all the better.
January 7, 2007 at 5:17 pm #20248A downloadable pdf would be a good idea, or at least have all the Q & A on a long scroll down list so that when clicking on the link, it just moves down to that point. It is generally easier to browse the material that way also.

That would be great also with the option of a pdf option…
January 8, 2007 at 12:44 am #20252My webmaster objected to my request for long scroll down, because withso many questions, some witih lengthy answers, the amount of scrolling becomes tedious and hard to navigate. This way you can leave each question up and create your own long scroll down, or fold it back up and keep it short.
I think the pdf file idea is good, but will probably wait until contents are more full and polished.
appreciate all feedback.

January 8, 2007 at 1:38 am #20254Thanks for your creative suggestion, Pietro.
On the list of questions I haven’t posted yet is one in which I would refer readers to the Forum and the links pages to access the incredibly talented community of Tao cultivators.
But I don’t see the FAQs as either a debating forum for opposing views or a synthesis of all thnking on a topic by everyone in the community. That is way too hard.
I think it needs to be a single voice with a coherent view – these will be most influential on newbies who don’t have much background. Or experienced cultivators who want to know where I stand on things.
The biggest complaint I’ve had about the site is too much info that ishard to get a handle on for beginners. I think your suggestion is more oriented to experienced cultivators.

January 8, 2007 at 12:28 pm #20256I have a really serious question and I really hope not to offend anyone. Point 9 says:
“9. IMMORTALITY. Tao inner alchemy offers Seven Alchemy Formulas for Eternal Life. These seven stages are a practical map to spiritually rebirth the mortal self into an immortal consciousness that continues functioning after death.
Ordinary souls dissolve after death. Enlightened souls hold enough integrity to reincarnate consciously, a kind of soul immortality.
Spiritual Immortality is Natures way to allow the most worthy individual beings to participate in the ongoing creation of the divine multi-verse.”
Everything that I have read and listened to so far in Kan and Li (up through greatest) says that there is a part of us that is already immortal and looking in on this life.. if this is so then how can this be true: “Ordinary souls dissolve after death. Enlightened souls hold enough integrity to reincarnate consciously, a kind of soul immortality.”
It sounds like nothing is left of the “ordinary soul”.. it dissolves.. then how could these other statements be true? What do you mean by this?

January 8, 2007 at 2:09 pm #20258Pietro,
I totally support your intention. But I don’t think this FAQ is the time or the right space for it, as well as financially and time/energy-wise.I think such a project would have to be a community one – your geek proposal does allow for that – but I suspect it could be more artfully executed in conjunction with this forum, with its treasure trove of archived postings and links. Something like an index/topic that organizes existing postings to make the collective viewpoints accessible. And that could link to other forums, articlds, etc. by TOPIC.
This is one reason I strongly encourage everyone to USE VERY CLEAR DESCRIPTION OF CONTENT IN YOUR POSTING HEADER. That will make accessing the community viewpoints easier if sucha project were executed.
I appreciate your keeping focus on the community aspect. As you say, this is bigger than all of us, and we need to keep sharing until the most simple and effective level of truth coalesces.
love, chi, blessings,
MichaelJanuary 8, 2007 at 2:55 pm #20260Good question, and there is an answer that the short summary 9. did not allow.
The ordinary soul PATTERN is what dissolves, i.e. it loses integrity as a functioning entity. It has served its experimental purpose – even the failure to integrate is valuable information for the oversoul.
But the contents of the individual soul pattern are immortal, i.e. they are recycled back into the collective for redistribution. The consciousness itself cannot die; for that to happen the Life Force carrying the individual consciousness would have to die as well. So that is why even the individual soul pattern, that is no longer functional, i.e. has no more free will, is still stored in the web of the Life Force and is accessible to anyone researching (scrying) for that past soul. This is the cosmic memory bank that allows development of wisdom.
That is why you could go into the “akashic records” and talk to someone (their soul memory imprint) where it is stored – but it is a virtual replication of them, not an evolving integrated soul. You could only find out what that soul knew at that moment of being recorded. Technically, the archive is “owned” by the collective/oversoul now, but accessible to anyone with proper relationship to Life Force (which “owns” all the individuated universes and their creators, ie. God/Original Spirit in religious talk).
Fun, huh?
(and just for perspective on past discussion, I believe the original “there-is-no-self”) Pali Buddhists were trying to BYPASS all the levels of soul/oversoul/Original Soul . They claim that an individual, even with the bad karma to be born on earth, could skip the creative evolution phases and realize some supreme and permanent emptiness.
I think it was, in retrospect, an admirable attempt to overshoot what is possible for the individual soul, It is an understandable seed attempt to penetrate the impenetrable mystery of the Wuji (the pure womb space of the multi-verse certainly appearing empty from viewpoint of earth).
But it is a bypass attempt without the full backing of the rest of creation, and hence in my view ultimately futile. It is entirely likely that whole creations/collectives periodically recycle their Self/collective pattern into the Wuji, but I don’t think earth and its creative managers has achieved critical mass on that one yet. Or that they would even remember the experience if it did happen….Attuned to highest integrity of all souls,
MichaelJanuary 8, 2007 at 4:14 pm #20262Reading the Inner Alchemy|Is it safe to integrate Q/A, your (Michael’s) answer includes the following:
Getting Tao ultimately means “getting to the essence of oneself”. This requires diving deep into the Unknown Center of your chi field. Consider me a diving guide.
As I read ‘Getting Tao’, I wondered what you meant by choosing those words; didn’t know if it was a typo, or intentional. But I thought to myself, maybe it’s like ‘Getting down’ a la the 60s/70s…and then I read the diving deep language, and got a good laugh.
January 8, 2007 at 6:08 pm #20264One of the “theologies” I really enjoy is covered in Bob Master’s “Sekhmet” book.
Each person is supposed to have a Ka that reincarnates and carries memories from life to life, but behind all the Ka’s there is one nearly incomprehnsible “Khabs” which is one being divided into all those reincarnating souls..
I doubt it’s true, but, it’s a nice theory at least..
I am trying to figure out exactly what you are saying, especially in contrast to this?
-digdug
January 11, 2007 at 4:25 am #20266Similar theory, it is found in all ancient cultures. Khabs here would be the oversoul/collective soul that divides out the individual souls, which then manifest a particular personality and body that reflects the soul pattern and what it needs to complete itself. Then you begin the journey to explore your free will on behalf of your soul tribe, which gathers the data back at your death. If the soul pattern is done, it is dissolved, the oversoul has no more use for it. If it has integrated, it continues evolving.

January 11, 2007 at 12:03 pm #20268This sounds like you are saying there is essentially one big supersoul that divides into sub souls… sub souls absorb memory back into the supersoul but themselves die off at death UNLESS they somehow hold something together themselves, OTHERWISE the supsersoul spins off new subsouls somehow.. but what about the Ka reincarnating and so forth? furthermore, who said the subsouls don’t have their own eternal core creating in some big soul shop in the sky?
this seems to be more an issue of the spirit in the chest than the thrid eye, but how would a Ka reincarnate and hold memories?
