Hello Folks,
I have some general questions. I have been practicing kuok sun do (a Taoist yoga form) for several years. I have enjoyed it but am forced to change directions due to some degenerated disks in my neck which are causing pain from the aggressive postures. In the past, I have practiced Chi Kung, Tai Chi (yang style), and Hatha yoga. Nothing comes close to Kuok Sun Do in terms of focusing my mind and a euphoric feeling after completion. I tried Mantaks Standing Meditation, but it is not the right practice for me. I need to use my body (and breath) to control my mind. I have been using Michael Winns Blissful Breathing DVD and it is good, but lacks the depth. (Maybe I need to practice more than the 20 minutes sessions). Based on his recommendation on his website, he says to use DVDs from the Fundamentals I and II. I have done the animal forms elsewhere however, and have not found them very useful. Suggestions?
Thanks
find a tantric yoga teacher if you can…maybe hard to come by these days…Mantak Chias Tao Yin book is the nect best (if not better) thing. I agree Sundo can be a bitt agressive. Find a healing tao instructor in your agrea and learn Chi Nei Tsang to open the tan tien/blissful fealings more…perhaps take up tai chi?
