Are these the famous points that are so powerful for healing and also for dim mak?
August 4, 2005 at 3:55 pm #6975Thanks for a lot of info – I am going to pass on the Dingleberry pies and will try the wolfberries and herbs that Plato mentioned.
I will watch the protein / starch / fruit times to eat also. Increase the vegetables
I will increase my physical activity. I think a little bit of those Hindu squats, some taiji, some pilates (still like that one – gets rid of the big ass fairly well) and some exercises that VIRAJ, a male belly dancer suggested I do but I gave up doing. He had the nicest ass I have ever seen on male or female. These exercises were based on body weight training similar to football/sport exercises. A lot of circuit cardio.
No wonder I quit doing it, it almost killed me.I don’t know Plato … just “Hindu” squats and pushups? I don’t want to look like Matt Fury. As a martial artist I hear he is quite controversial, as a wrestler, I hear he is pretty good.
Rainbows!

Just squats and pushups will be so hard.
Who is VIRAJ (website?) and what exercises did he recommend?
August 4, 2005 at 6:09 pm #6979Viraj is a male belly dancer. I do not have his card with me but he does have a website – can always search under male belly dancer – Canada. Should come up with him.
I cannot exactly remember how I originally met him. I think when I was practising my sword at the University he came by. He wanted to learn some sword work to incorporate into his dance. Anyways I asked him if he would help me train properly and he did. We would talk on the phone every few days and we would meet every month or so, but he got busy and so did I and as usually I never completed the training. I was doing quite well though. For awhile. He is a very nice, compassionate, well educated young man. I actually gave him my jo weapon to use. Just remembered that.
Anyways he wanted me to run on treadmill at certain percentages of output mixing between pushing very, very had for a few minutes and then going back down to 50 – 6o% and keeping htis up for 20 minutes or so, varying it between rowing, biking and treadmill, and crosstrainer. The I did various ab work, some which I already knew from my kenjutsu training which are kicks and then stopping before reaching floor and holding. Kicking in front, then to each palm, crosing legs, arching in circle. Kind of hard to explain. Then the boat situps. Then some side bends whilelaying on floor, weight is on elbow or hand, body stiff as board and then let hip touch floor, similar to pilates exercise. Then a dance balance position while standing, hard to explain that one.
Then the squats, kind of a horse stance and then staying in that posiiton while running forward. Then backwards, then left side, then right side. Doing each from one side of the gym and back. Then lunges, forward and backwards.
Then I was to practise my sword for as long as I could get the time to do it.
Was intense. I was soaked by the time I finished. Literally. The trouble with me is my body is stubborn. I can do pretty good with the extra weight on me. Better than most my weight. I am very flexible also, more htan most my age. I have to work very hard to get my body to kick up anotch and doing weights, well I put muscle on extremely easy. My kids are that way too. Just genetics I guess. I try not to do weights very much anymore, alhtough I do think some is definatley good and I love the muscular woman bodies in muscle and fitness (except for those huge arms, I do not like those very much).
Viraj is a certified trainer so his concepts and approach were very good. He kind of made me my own routine for what I needed and wanted at the time.
His appraoch was more exercise and just watch and be careful of what I ate. No starving.
I meet the most wonderful people, mostly the most unsually talented also.
I met a Japanese man at the UofA while practising my sword there also. We exchanged methods and he introduce me to Kenjutsu. He at one time worked for NASA and he could write a computer program that took the computer 1 year to read. He was brilliant. Well, he is brilliant. I could write a book on that experience too. He gave my son a snowboard, one of those very expensive ones. I did not have any money when I met this man and he was very kind. My son woke up one morning with this snowboard next to him and I tell you, he never came down from that high for 3 days. It was one of the most beautfiul things to watch … the joy in his eyes at getting something he thought he could only dream of and I saw it all.
One day I hope to be able to do that for many people. It just warms the heart so much.Hmmm, anyways, …. just beautiful people, different people, kind and spiritual people …. This man’s father’s heritage was Shinto priest. I was given a samurai sword with the buddhist symbol on it by him. A treasure I will never forget and an honour at that.
Anyways, got to go
Bye
