This is why grounding is so important.
When you get sufficiently grounded (ala Iron Shirt and physical body practices like Tai Chi), you can just allow your emotions to manifest, without being hooked by them. You can just watch them as a neutral observer, like one watches a crying child from a distance.
This is why grounding both precedes and supersedes emotional processing techniques in my view. ๐
If I get emotionally off-kilter, I find I get far more mileage by doing grounding practices than if I process them via a Fusion scheme.

Allowing emotions and different states is fine in wu wei when im on holidays, but i don’t think i could keep my job if i just slept when i felt tired, ate when i wanted to eat and worked hard only when i felt like it.
I like control because i can fit in with my environment, however the wisdom of needing balance of different states and understanding myself goes hand in hand with that control.
But i like the article
