My father has been a church going man all his life. He’d go to church every Sunday, put a little donation in the collection plate, go to confession, read the Bible etc. Now that he’s getting older he’s starting to question the religion he’s been following all these years and started to realize that some things just dont make any sense. Rather than attempting to find out if theres any truth behind it he just accepts and puts it down to a gift of faith. Is faith truly a gift or more of a double edged sword?

these days people have a higher abillity to sense the truth.
This could be a reason for further change.
Its a tricky situation, I have no advice for it.
The only thing that calms me down when my principles are battered is a long walk in nature. Nature heals.Take care of him.

It is all what you us it for. A sword was used on the battle fields and in weddings. You just get wiser in how, and when you us things. Hope fully.:)

From day number one of my conception my path was paved with ‘doubt’, you could say the very opposite of faith. Like in fairy tales I wished to find ‘faith’ one day, yet that very ‘doubt’ was my driving force to dig into the unknown, to find faith…
yet faith is believing without questions… hmmmm
