As a compulsive Twitterer I have been following with great interest and apprehension the recent news in Iran. All this lead me to read more about this country.
Among what I read was a series of articles from the Time.
I would like to share with this community one photo I found:
http://www.time.com/time/photoessays/2007/paolo_woods_iran/
It is Photo #26 in this collection.
The caption reads:
“Students attend the class at the ‘Laughing School’ in Tehran, where the physical act of laughing is thought to have positive effects on people’s well-being and self-confidence.”
The more I read about Iran the more I realise how similar we are.
I really hope their peaceful revolution succeeds.
ADDITION: After a brief search on the internet I found the same pic from the photographer, being offered. Since I lack the 200 to clear the copyright I will just send you there:

Here the description is more explicit:
The Laughing School Mr Mohtashemi runs the Laughing School from his small office in North Tehran. Mohtashemi learnt his techniques from an Indian method, which believes that the physical act of laughing has positive effects on people’s well being and self confidence. In these classes, Mohtashemi first guides his students through laughing exercises, followed by lectures modelled on American self help master, Anthony Robbins. Students pay $200 a year to attend his courses
I have a student in Tehran who is also teaching qigong. He’s even been to wudangshan.
