Yes, you are right. What I was trying to say it’s unfair to generalize that certain people avoid completing their destiny because they are on a specific path (you had the same comment about some people and their empty mind meditation). Unless you take a specific person, it’s all a vague game.
November 24, 2005 at 3:34 pm #8590You can look up in Google ‘small stellated dodecahedron’ and ‘great stellated dodecahedron’. Not female geometry, but much higher energy body form. Way higher.
November 24, 2005 at 6:44 pm #8592It was very similar to the small dodecahedron but used the body shape to make the figure, so the points were more narrow, no so width.
Although when walking around in my daily ‘doing’ it has more that solid figure, having a more grounding effect.
As for the ‘female’, that was a joke, in my feeling it was beyond any polarity.November 24, 2005 at 7:30 pm #8594I took another look at some sites and it is the great -stellated -dodecahedron I mistook it with the great dodecahedron. The points of the great stellated one are very similar to the one I feel, more refined, sharper than the small stellated one.
November 24, 2005 at 9:20 pm #8596I disagree about your theory on destiny. Destiny means that the soul is placed here on earth to enable the body to be in certain places, at certain times, to interact and react in ways that are required for other certain events or energetic transference to take place. Those that have destiny do not really have choice. That destiny will happen to them no matter what choices they make. People with destiny can get pretty frustrated because basically when they “choose” to do something that is not of their destiny they get stuck. Eventually the universe weaves and the wheel turns, events will happen to bring their destiny to them. Some people believe that those who have destiny believe they are holier or better than others. Not so. Itis a service. This soul comes in as a service to allow other people, other beings, other things and events to communion with each other, other things, with them to produce energetic functions. It is not such a holy thing. It is like being an eveready battery. You are required and it will happen as it was decided … this is destiny. Believe me, I know.
Some souls come in and have choices. Some souls like me, do not. And maybe this is hard to understand but you know when you have destiny and someone wants you to do something and you just damn well can’t….well some people just can’t go there. They are not programmed to go there. And you can back up and look at it and work on it and scratch your head. But it ain’t moving. This is Tao. It is written, has been by your soul and that is that. I guess that is why I find it quite interesting how people fight for power and otherly places. Inside I don’t understand that. Knowledge yes, but fight for power? There is only one place and that is at center, there is no other place to go. That is home. All else is nothing. Realizing you have no choice and you are nothing other than a placement can be quite depressing. Takes a lot of energy to work from that. One can do that after that realization comes to be deep but all esle is, how do you say, irrelevant. It is like living alife to make do while you are here because you know really that you could be a piece of crap and it wouldn’t matter …. just so long as you are creating that energetic function. That is destiny. Not so glorified. Kind of disjointed but it is truth. Not everyone in this life has choice. I know that and I have had several others look at me and go, yeah, yeah, we know. Lots of people say everyone has choices. Well my dear, you (I) don’t. It is destiny. Oh and to go against your destiny is like rubbing your stomach insides and heart against several huge razor blades. Gad that is irritating. You don’t want to go there. Shreds you up pretty bad. Tried that too. We are all connected, just that some of us are here to well, kind of be the diffuser or maybe the relay switch or the battery or the connecting cable or cable changer. Just depends.I disagree with your theory. Your are off a little in your recitation in my opinion.
Debatable I guess, but since I am living it, I would still disagree. You know what the true mindbender is …. finding out what your destiny truly is and being comfortable with that. Give that a shot.
November 24, 2005 at 10:47 pm #8598From my understanding of the Daoist cosmology that Michael describes, the point behind spiritual cultivation is to develop free will by fusing your inner souls together, and that gives you a choice about how to complete your life.
From a Daoist point of view, it is possible to complete your soul patterns so that you do not need to be stuck in a fixed set of events written by some unseen hand. The idea that a persons destiny (“karma” or incompletion) is already fixed (by who?) and immovable tends to be self defeating.
If a person uses their will and intention to learn a musical instrument, they can cultivate an astounding level of skill at a young age, but as people get older, they buy into the idea that life is closed and unchangeable. When a person cultivates on a deep energetic and spiritual level, they are connected to an infinite source that is much more open and fluid than the physical plane which allows greater spiritual freedom, and also freedom on the physical plane.
The idea of completion takes place both on the spiritual and physical levels. The different personalities that make up your vital organ shen come from the pool of collective human souls that contain incompletion, and manifest on the physical plane in certain combinations to complete that specific combination by interacting energetically and physically with the free will of other beings.
The “present” physical reality has become clogged with human souls that need completion, which may be why people are faced with such accelerated choices in their life. Soul patterns also manifest directly from the Dao through the stars, planets and earth into people, but the present situation has much more spiritual pollution to work through.
November 24, 2005 at 11:13 pm #8600Rainbow,
delighted to have your passionate presence back on the forum.I don’t think I really presented a full theory of destiny, just made a comment to the effect that everything you choose in life may not be completing your destiny, and not to confuse the two.
Obviously, some people are more deeply in touch with their destiny than others, and thus it is more painful to deviate from it – your soul lets you know immediately you are off the life path needed for soul completion.
So in that respect I totally agree with what you are saying. You are too in touch with your core self to allow for much denial or deviation. As far as the question of free will, we will have to disagree. It may be painful to deviate from your destiny, but you can. Destiny is meaningless as a concept unless there is free will – you are enither choosing to go with it or go against it. Otherwise you fall into the trap of living in a mechanical universe where everything is predestined, every thoughtt, word, action, breath.
It may feel like a choiceless choice, but that only happens if you are in touch with your soul. Lots of people resist their destiny. And of course, anytime you resist being yourself, you will attract people and situations that offer you the chance to rectify the resistance. That is why acceptance of destiny relieves suffering – your soul is happy, even if you appear to be in terrible circumstance. But your soul may have a mission that doesn’t include personal happiness as part of its mission.
Taoists say you can become total master of your destiny – but it is a rare achievement, as is attaining conscious spiritual immortality. It requires merging with the levels of yourself that create and define your “soul” and its impulses/archetypal powers. Its not easy to go beyond your astrology, but you can. Most people merely polish the rough edges of their destiny, by exerting their free will in small ways.
But the principle stands. Anyone who completes their destiny in the world qualifies to be called a Human Immortal – i.e. they have completely merged with that level of their natural self. it has nothing to do with cosmic consciousness or longevity, its just completion.
That is why the ming men – the Gate of Destiny – is one of the most important portals in the human body. That is where the patterns of your formless, pre-natal self emerge and are combusted by the kidney spirit, circulated in the 8 deep channels, and flow into more surface energetic patterns that become your body, mind, and your life.
So, Ms. R. Bear, I would say that the forces pushing your soul to push your human self about are also You, but because they appear to be invisible and formless they are not yet recognized as self.
November 25, 2005 at 2:55 pm #8602Are there really people without a destiny?
Hard to believe. Not just people who are not in touch with it, but people who actually have no destiny?
What the hell are they here for? A turistic trip?
We should charge them a ticket!P.
November 25, 2005 at 5:54 pm #8604Pietro,
Not sure how you concluded that from my post. From Tao perspective, everyone has a destiny, their xin (heart mind, which incudes the 5 body spirits) is the expression of it. But not everybody realizes their destiny, due to fragmentation and confusion, distraction and diffusion, here in the physical plane.

in itself is comforting….
Thank you. Self it is.
Ms. R. Bear …I like that.
Many rainbow wishes to all.
November 26, 2005 at 2:29 am #8608Greetings!
To accelerate the process of completing your (outer) destiny through (inner) alchemy, do you feel that it is important to focus the refining and cultivation process largely on the ming men in the lower center to harmonize the soul patterns that are manifesting into the physical plane?
Would this also involve bringing the higher collective impersonal levels of cultivation (womb of mysterious female) down to connect with the personal ming men, or is there a ming men portal at each level that connects with the personal self?
November 26, 2005 at 6:11 am #8610Aha. That makes sense.
To answer your question, I didn’t conclude it from your post but from RB post.

November 26, 2005 at 1:53 pm #8612Whoa … sounds complicated. Guess I am here for awhile.
November 26, 2005 at 3:55 pm #8614on reflection, I think my question was more complicated than necessary.
I think the process of alchemy takes care of all the levels of harmonization of the personal and collective self, except I think it is always useful to bring the collective levels back to the personal level of the ming men in the lower dan tien.
please do stay for a while, heaven on earth is always in interesting place to be.
