October 4, 2006 at 11:22 am #18325I am posting a lovely sharing by a male Healing Tao instructor who lives in PA named Lama Tsering (yes, he happily mixes paths). In response to a question as to whether it is safe to practice qigong during pregnancy for women. I don’t think you need to wait to get physically pregnant to include a loving feeling in the chi circulating in the orbit or radiating fro the inner smile. If you practice that way daily, you may find yourself dealing with an unplanned spiritual pregnancy. 🙂 michael from Lama Tsering:

HiI went thru this issue of qigong during pregnancy with two kids. In the womb, at each stage, smiling into the baby.
When organs are developed, doing the inner smile
within the babies organs, then the moms,Last three months, doing the MC Orbit in the baby,
then the mom, then, baby, mom and dad… synchronized
together…why is this safe… because mom and dad are relying on
the love, not their egos, to do it..it is all a heart centered practice…feeling the
love, following the love, lettting the love guide the
process, relying on the love – balances and harmonizes
everything.in the womb, babies can hear at a certain point, and
chanting to them (not strictly a HTIA practice)..
although chanting and mantra play an integral role in
other Taoist traditions,so many ways to love and be loved… mom, dad, and the
baby or babies…so many wonderful ways to let the love work, letting
different and wonderful energies, circulate and
strengthen the baby…an interesting aspect of astrology that is not well
understood is the “Conception Chart”… if you are
aware of when conception took place, it can guide you
to strengths and weaknesses that the fetus likely
has.. then you can use cosmic, astral, planetary
energies to strenthen organs, bones, brain… blood,
chi…i remember when i learned infant massage in India…
the mothers were quite strong… really gave the
babies a massage… it was not as gentle as i thought
it should be.. and the babies loved it… health
babies are very yang.. quite strong.. and can take a
lot…so, if you are in your heart, with inner heart as
director.. letting the love do it… do not fear
letting the love work in all the most wonderful ways.
The love will help the chi get refined and the heart
love will adjust the chi properly so the baby can
digest it and utilize it for the best.If you can not imagine or feel how to let the love
work, as an alternative, you cuould run everything you
gather through the heart first and then to the baby,
or to the breasts…have a wonderful chi powered baby… it helped our two
childeren so so much.in joy Lama Tsering ps. from a responder, Saida: Chi Powered Breastmilk. Viewing the breasts as
cauldrons… smiling into each organ, fusing the
wonderful chi from each organ into the breasts, and
charging the breast milk with this combined wonderful
energy… or if you practice fusion, forming a pearl,
moving it to the breasts, dissolving the pearl into
 the breast milk glands…
