Take it for what it is worth….
If this video doesn’t touch you in some way, I don’t know what will.
NOT For The Faint-Of-Heart, so be warned!October 19, 2006 at 1:26 am #18781… there is a huge amount of cruelty involved in this sort of “mass production”. It shows a high degree of separation, that people become unconscious of their own emotional state to inflict cruelty on other beings. Also that eating the bodies of these animals carries the emotional vibration of that cruelty.
In the very least, it is a good argument for organic, family owned and free range establishments that allow animals to live in a natural environment, or for people to reduce their consumption to wild animals, at least for people who eat meat on a regular basis.
As for the idea that it is morally evil to ever eat meat, how do you explain the cycle of the food chain, with hunters and pastoral animals? Does that play into your argument that any hunting animal develops bad karma, or is it the level of cruelty involved?
On that note, as has been said before, I do think that humans use of firearms, even for hunting has contributed to that emotional separation in the act of hunting, and created more of a separation between the hunter and prey.
October 20, 2006 at 2:38 am #18783I do also beleive it is possible to transform even a negative vibration if one has the tools to do so. If by eating an animal that has been traumatized, and one has developed their qi field, it is possible to neutralize and transform that emotion.
I think this shows the difference in the the thought pattern of “observe things as they are” and “balance, harmonize and embody change”.
October 20, 2006 at 2:51 am #18785“I do also beleive it is possible to transform even a negative vibration if one has the tools to do so.”
I agree with this but think it is simpler than most people believe and that it happens all the time. I believe that we always choose a vibration when we eat and imbue it into the animal or whatever we are consuming with our thoughts and our focus. I believe that we are not getting the violence or other negative energies automatically because of this. Someone loving the burger they are eating, without consciously trying to change the vibes in it, is actually attuning to a positive frequency and charging it up with lifeforce. I think this approach goes as far as it can go for that person as long as they need to eat that thing and have the experience it gives them, until at some point in their growth process they must leave the burger behind for simpler things.
If one really believes that all things are conscious lifeforce then there really is no difference between eating a burger and eating a beet. It’s all US anyway.
October 20, 2006 at 3:16 pm #18787Then how the **** are you going to smile to an animal and KILL it simultaneously?
furthermore, what about all those psychotic happy little pigs on the BBQ restaurant signs?
October 20, 2006 at 3:16 pm #18789October 20, 2006 at 4:57 pm #18791“how the **** are you going to smile to an animal and KILL it simultaneously?”
Apparently you cannot imagine this possibility. It is possible, and, in fact, has always been the underlying attitude for most aboriginal and ancient cultures. Killing a hunted animal was done with resect and appreciation by aboriginal Americans and this is highly documented and well known.
October 20, 2006 at 5:00 pm #18793…it was understood by those cultures that there was an active conscious relationship to the animals, and that they were communicating with the animals who understood what was happening. Tribes honored the fact that the animals they slaughtered and ate were aware of the fact that they were giving their lives for the good of those people. There wa a very strong sense of oneness between things then which is missing almost totally now.
October 21, 2006 at 9:36 pm #18795A very interesting book written by a vancouver doctor, Gabor Mate, is titled “when the body says no: the hidden cost of stress”. He basically confirms in a modern scientific and “psychological” way what daoist depth pychology and five element energetic emotional technology have explained very well for thousands of years; that when people are not able to effectively deal with stress, they start deflecting it inwards and internalizing it, and their immune system and energy body starts attacking themselves instead of defending against outward viruses, pathogens or environmental/emotional energies that are conflicting with them. I believe this is the cause of tumors and many types of chronic illness.
I believe the emotional vibration carried in foods may be a small part of this, but largely the cause of this is a highly accelerated modern lifestyle where many people are essentially emotionally incompetent in dealing with each other because it is not part of the culture: in this same way, parents pass on emotional issues to their babies and children, which is why polio, MS, cancer and things like that manifest in lineages of families. The studies in the book confirmed that people who live in industrial polluted towns and are chain smokers are only likely to die from lung cancer if they were not able to express anger in a healthy way, or had some other emotional issues that I can’t remember right now.
October 24, 2006 at 2:16 pm #18797…I am enjoying a huge beefburger with bacon and a fistful of buffalo liver that I wash down with cod liver oil.
Thanks Buddha for animals!
October 24, 2006 at 2:34 pm #18799Here is this video I shot when I was on a Russian sex tour. I thought it was an orgy, and then I realized it was just a bunch of Russian (Belarussian–whatever) survivors of Chernobyl whom they had locked up in an abandoned community center so they would stop embarrassing Russia (Belarussia–whatever).
