Merging Elements : e.g Water + Metal

MW does a very nice Water / Metal merging movement in Sexual Vitality that is very powerful for your sexual drive.

Also in general Kan & Li are merging Fire / Water : although there is I believe a different emphasis on what Fire / Water are in this practice, it’s more Yin / Yang merging isn’t it.

Well, I was wondering if you can merge any of the elements, why just Water / Metal ?   They are next to each other on creation cycle … does that mean any side-by-side elements can be merged ?   What is the philosophy.

Of particular interest is merging Wood / Metal : this is done in Fusion, as is Fire / Water …. that leads me to suppose that Wood / Metal is a useful merging.
