All meditation systems have that stuff.
Nope I never bought his stuff,
simply because its too expensive and quite frankly I have
all that I need already.
Sure I would look over his material but everything is just
a play on words at this point. After all the years of meditation I see that it all comes
down to just a few basic principles!Anybody can just write extensively on these Ideas add nasuea!
Its just another POP add in the meditation community.
There will be more, I assure you!April 25, 2005 at 1:23 pm #4943Could you outline your methods, or at least give us a general idea of what sorts of things it involves, and what stages/transformations occur?
April 25, 2005 at 1:48 pm #4945I feel somewhat frustrated with what I would consider such little results for the efforts I have put forth in my practice. Most of my knowledge of taoism comes from books and my meditations. It just seems to me that I could really use some direct teaching or transmission from someone with more experience. I would like to be able to feel chi and learn to circulate it throughout my body.Any suggestions?
April 25, 2005 at 2:37 pm #4947Try taking a class from a senior Dao instructor. It is very possible to learn from books and your own practice, but there is an energetic transmission when you learn with someone who has actualized those pathways deeply into their energy/spirit body.
Of couse, regular practice is also important, as well as avoiding burning off your jing through no sleep/ejaculation/drugs/alcohol/excess exercise or emotional extremes. A healthy reserve of Jing will be a good foundation to feel eenrgy with, a “clean slate” so to speak.
You might also want to start moving on to other practices such as bone breathing/rooting or fusion if you have mainly been working on the orbit for the last two years. higher level practices will help to digest the basic pathways. inner smile also helps to generate contact with body shen.
April 25, 2005 at 2:45 pm #4949well, along this line of thought, has anyone ever produced Qi or Shen for examination either?
Yet we can deeply experience them through practice.
I am learning this martial art, we can call it Bei Kuen for now, and the guy teaching it to me is convinced he has reached the highest level of cultivation through martial practice and his own realizations, and is about to dematerialise sometime soon. I can’t argue this with him because he believes it completely, but will have to wait until he does to see if it is true.
In the same way, your experience ,might be authentic, I don’t know. I will see who dematerialises first, then I will know the truth.
April 25, 2005 at 8:18 pm #4951Whether the Healing Dao wants to recognise that or Not..
Hey the way I see its about mutual respect, they dont give me none,
I dont give them none…Capesce!
April 25, 2005 at 9:19 pm #4953Why all the hostilities? If you have something to teach a beginner like myself I’m game.
April 26, 2005 at 11:46 am #4955Read em and digest there is a lot to be posted so stay tuned in,
we will work from there!April 27, 2005 at 5:32 am #4957Guy,
It seems like you just pulled the curtain back and exposed the Wizard of Oz
speaking into his megaphone.Danny may be reluctant to teach you because actually dealing with people’s limitations/resistances is easy in cyberspace but more difficult in real physical life. That is why singing ocean’s advice to you is good. Get a teacher with experience, and one who is willing to state his training credentials and experience in teaching. And is willing to call you if he is really available to teach…..
My advice: don’t confuse the feeling of chi sensation with chi circulation.
Not everyone gets chi sensation. You can transform without it. If you want to develop more feeling in the body then qigong is the best way, not sitting meditation. There are hundreds of useful forms, so it is confusing. I’ve picked out or developed the ones I thought were most useful, but see what attracts and who attracts you. Then stick with that form until you get into the chi flow state.Open Chi Flow in the Orbit might be useful for you.
Primordial Qigong is another powerful form.michael

As a beginner to self cultivation, it was never my intent to expose anyone. But I must say the more post I read of the person “nothingness” the less attracted I became. Wendy gave me what I think was great advice, and to her I feel forever greatful, somehow even strongly connected.
With regard to your advice,I would first like to thank for for taking the time to share your thoughts with me.Secondly, please let me know where I can start to practice the Open Chi Flow in the Orbit and the Primordial Qigong, books or video. Thirdly, I hope to see you on Dao Mountain this summer as I only live 2 hours from there.Warmest regards’
GuyApril 27, 2005 at 8:17 pm #4961If you are willing to leap into a “group cauldron” at Dao Mtn, such as the Chi Kung Fundamentals 1-4, you will get what you are looking for. The concentrated combination of chi kung and meditation for the week will put wind in your sails.
Blessings on your journey,
MichaelApril 27, 2005 at 11:30 pm #4963Silence..
For all you sinners!!!!
April 28, 2005 at 9:21 pm #4965Plato, Danny, Over the years as a member of this board I’ve read your posts. Whether I agreed or disagreed w/ your positions I always held your views w/ respect.
The last year, your views and posts have turned bitter. They are less about sharing information and views and more like Graphitti.
Its too bad,
Michael

Bite Me!April 29, 2005 at 3:40 pm #4969Nothingness posting can be very annoying and childess but if you are centered within yourself and have enough heart it is very easy to look behind that facade. It is his way of trying to make a point. Not the most effective one in my opinion but everyone has his way. Tolerance has its limits as well but look in yourself first. And if you find it annoying ignore it, smile and walk on.
The strangest thing is that this thread was a rather constructive conversation where he actually made a good observation, one I wanted to comment and was usefull for others as well. But I guess some people only saw the word vagina and found it inappropriate… this is just a guess. -
