Pain and Enlighenment

I think this is a very profound subject.

Personally, after witnessing my wife (Joyce Gayheart) and her journey through a profound ocean of pain after a car accident and years of self-healing, i consider her far more whole body-enlightened than me. I hate pain, which means I am unable to hold neutral state towards it. Instead I heal it quickly – using qi skills. But its not the same level of awareness-beyond-pain. I never had to heal her level of pain. She healed herself from three major accidents.

it is one reason she is such an amazingly good teacher.

Under One Sky is 12 astrologers- very prominent ones, from 12 different schools, who Rafi had read Joyce’s chart blindly, i.e. no meeting with her or knowledge of who she was, not even her real name.

Each astrologer tells how they read her chart, their views on destiny & fate,
and gives a detailed reading on how her life should have unfolded.

Independent of their readings, Joyce wrote a 45 page capsule description of her life journey (with exact dates for astrologers to later use).

4 of the readings were considered by joyce to be close or dead on.
4 were mixed.
4 were off.

This is a unique and objective exploration of the “karma” issue (the Big Dog sitting in plato’s otherwise occupied lap). And the only valid study of whether astrology works that I know of.

The best study of whether astrology works or not would involve a high-population-dense area (like NYC) during a time of many births (say, min-1950’s), and at least 3 people from each gender, all born within a few minutes of each other in the same hospital. They would also have to be old enough to have lived long enough to go through some life passages like marriage, kids, and divorce. Ideally these people would be of different races and backgrounds (some Jews, some Hindus, Chinese, etc.).
