Anybody have any experiences of doing qigong
or meditation while dreaming? Two nights ago, while in dream, I ended up
doing a number of practices, and was blown away. One of the practices I did in dreamspace was
the Wudang Macrocosmic Orbit meditation
(taught in M. Winn’s Fusion 3 course). It
felt really intense, probably 10 times more
intense than usual. After a number of really intense meditations
and some powerful qigongs, I sat down to do
another meditation and was sort of tired and
fell asleep in meditation.Of course, I was in dreamland at the time, so
“falling asleep” ended translating into
waking up.Of course, now I have the Chuang Tzu problem:
Am I now awake, or is this reality just a dream
from where I was. ๐Smiles,

sometimes seem to meet Michael Winn doing his flight classes in some Super Mario locals… lol, if only it was funny….
points in that post:
1) always look for the stars in your dreams- literally
2) attempt the same practices as during the day, including star tuning
3) something is obviously up because your body functions as a 3D hologram/antennae in a dream in a complete and incomprehensible way
4) IMHO: it’s the BIG TAO, where the whole solar system is a holodeck, because dreams have gates that lead between possible channels in life and serve as the bridges between those channelsMay 12, 2011 at 2:24 pm #37325I’ve been having some intense dream experiences recently.
One, the qigong/meditation experience from dream reference point
I shared in the other article. It’s something I hope to do more
of in the future. I think it has the potential to generate
a serious expansion of consciousness. Two, on a different note, I’ve had a recurring dream (separate
from the above) that I’ve had now for EVERY NIGHT for the
last five nights. In the dream, I’m in some office building,
I get into the elevator and take it to the top floor, which
is actually a maintenance level, unoccupied and decrepit,
and not as big as the lower floors. I get out, and walk
to a nearby window. I open the window, and happen to notice
the bottom of a metal ladder that is attached to the side
of the building. The metal ladder continues to rise up,
and I see that much to my surprise, the building
continues up many many many levels above what I
thought was the top floor. The metal ladder climbs vertically
affixed to the brick wall leading you up past each new window,
past new floors that aren’t supposed to exist. I decided to climb
out the window and get onto the ladder. As I do so, fear kicks
in as I realize that I’m already 100 stories up and I’m
feeling the associated wind and noticing how high I am.
Usually I manage to climb up another 3 stories
or so before the fear turns into mind-numbing terror and
I become paralyzed with fear on the ladder. My curiosity
makes me want to continue, but the feeling of “what the
hell are you doing? are you crazy” becomes overpowering
as my sense of heights and the feeling of the wind against
me amplifies the feeling. I don’t know what is more
bizarre . . . the actual dream, or the fact that I’ve had
it now, every night for five nights in a row. ๐S
May 13, 2011 at 2:02 am #37327no, unfortunately I am not joking
I have been through this skyscraper ladder routine before
you can “feel” other people’s energy essences through dreams as people are reaching across different chapters… it’s about analyzing the feeling space because you are sensing other people through energy inflections… which transmit, like many extra planetary intelligences, as consciousness pulsation
your soul is more at home inside the matrix than “out here”
the original “Ideas”, the Logos, come out of the light and intersect with the exterior ecospheres making the experiment a cross between telethought projections from another dimension outside space time and experimental gravity worlds
IMHO…
May 21, 2011 at 3:48 am #37329Sounds like something surfacing from deep inside. I always find it helpful to interpret the “feeling” of the dream rather than the actual events.
If you are familiar with any acrobatic practices (capoeira etc.), it is cool to feel yourself doing the movements (spinning, flipping) while lying in bed before going to sleep…I have found myself doing these movements in dreams as well after feeling them while faling asleep.
Stephen Laberge recommends doing “spinning” movements in dreams to keep yourself lucid and avoid waking up. His “M.I.L.D.” system is very cool as an adjunct to Taoist dream practice/meditations.
May 21, 2011 at 2:06 pm #37331The other night I was
in a half asleep, half
awake state where I was
dreaming that I had become
a snake and I was dancing
the snake dance. It was
important that I be so
sinuous while I wrapped
myself around people
and the things around
me. I felt a spiny
bony something on my
hand and arm and flipped
my arm out like a cobra
whereupon I completely
woke up, turned on the
light to find that I had
had a scorpian crawling
on me which I was able
to fling across the room
without being stung.Thank you snake dance.
