Michael
i tried proving philosophically as to whether what we call the mind/body exist and whether things external to what we call the mind/body exist.
The results i came up with is that it’s impossible to know whether it does or doesn’t exist from the perspective of THINKING along with the word POTENTIAL because what we call reality may be really real or simply the product of a manifesting potential.
But, if it were the manifestation of a potential, then reality could be virtually anything- a hat, a tree, a house, etc manifesting as what we can think about/apply senses to because potential allows for something to defy logic, for all i may know reality may be aspects of non-existence manifesting as a reality that would be really real yet at the same time could be neither existing nor non-existing;it’s kinda like asking, does a rose exist because it was the result of a manifesting potential or does it exist because it’s form of existence is manifestation without the ability for it to exist existing? i don’t know about other people’s views but i can’t come to a conclusion on that.
therefore it may be true that as long as one does not know that they know what reality is, one has now way of proving what reality is.
my question are, since it may be true one has no way of knowing, what’s not to say that that stuff in religions about armageddon isn’t true ? (assuming you are something that knows reality )
what’s not to say that when someone attains what you call realizing the eternal present moment, that they won’t be destroyed thanks to the aspects of something with a form of existence which allows it to destroy immortals?January 20, 2006 at 6:30 am #9906I am glad you asked.
I am planning to destroy this reality next Sunday at exactly 12 midnight.
If you watch closely, you will see the old reality completely disappear, exactly at the moment I snap my fingers.
If a new reality appears in the next moment, just be grateful.
🙂
