March 27, 2009 at 1:31 pm #30758Is this internal imagination or are people going around externally playing dragon and tiger?
March 27, 2009 at 2:21 pm #30760I can’t speak for Tigers…
As a dragon: It is an internal process that colors and shapes the way I am in the world, surely not an imagination, I have been fighting with the dragon part for nearly a decade, despite trying to deny it for years and struggling with it for years, trying to find ways to live with it in a balanced healthy way, I can say today, I did it… I was offered, I accepted, I ate, I digested for a long long time and finally I found a partner who is gifted with the eye to see, we live the way of the gentle dragon… He is clear though, the dragons orchestred this union… and their wisdom is beyond our human understanding.
You will never notice us though, dragons like to hide 🙂
March 27, 2009 at 2:27 pm #30762Hello Wendy
What I am into is if the green dragon practises is right or not. The more I dig into this question that I not have completly solved for myself jet. The more I come to the conclusion that the practise is ok, for more than one reason. We are talking about this at the taobums and I posted in the thread “Sexual teachings of the White Tigress” my name there is Fire Dragon.
We have an ongoing discussion and I have found out that Coyote’s arguments is realy good. And I like them.
I decided not to start a new thread here at this forum for the moment. Even though I am happy about your positive attitude.
I am still interested though what your opinion is about this with the green dragons practises, and if you have the possibility to read some of the later posts at the taobums and make some coments, at this site or the taobums it would be greate. I don’t know why but I feel that you have might have something to say about this that migth open up my understunding about it a litle bit further.
I am not able to stop woundering about this and as I see it we have at least together at the taobums, made some comments on it that have taken me closer to an deeper understunding of it. But I’m still not even close to a deeper understunding of it.
It is just a sugestion and why I feel you have something to say about this isn’t realy clear to me. Perhaps though it is your thinking and feeling from the heart that I’m surching for. I have noticed that you seems to see things wery clearly with your open heart. And that usually clarifies things for me.

March 27, 2009 at 2:45 pm #30764Hello Dog
I can’t realy answer you if there is an internal imagination or not. That part I have to leave to Wendy, beacase she is understunding something that I am comepletely unaware of. My own dragon name comes from a comopletely different source, at least counsiously, might be some uncounsious choosing for the name I am unaware of.
There is no external playing of dragon or tiger, as far as I know. It is better to see it as labels for different roles in the practise. There are some different things that Hsi Lai describes in relation to the names though. For example the green in green dragon is that the qi energy taken from the penis is seen for the inner eye as green, if I remember right. The white in the white tigress is a name coming from that she has shaved her pubic hair and there is also some symbolic beacase the white animal is rare and have been seen as having some extraordinary qualities.
The dragon is another name for the penis also.
But there are deeper understundings of this. There is an old diagram painting in which a boy is riding a white tigress and a girl is riding a green dragon. In the midle of the picture there is a cauldran and it is going energy from the mouth of the tiger and the dragon to the cauldran. The remarkable thing about this picture in the old white tigress book is that it is the only book that have the boy on the tigress. In all other taoist books according to Hsi Lai the boy is on the dragon and the girl is on the tiger. But I have to reread the chapter about this if to dig deeper into it.

March 27, 2009 at 7:16 pm #30766That diagram (or one that i would describe similarly) is also in the book Taoist Yoga. Is the cauldron like a rectangular cube instead of circular in the picture you were talking about?
March 27, 2009 at 9:02 pm #30768I looked in taoist yoga and yes the picture is quite similar. The cauldron is also a rectangular cube. The drawings and the cauldron is not exactly the same, but they differ not much either.
I have also noticed that the meditaion on the original cavity from Hsi lais book is similar or the same as how it is described in Charles Lukes book taoist yoga.
So the conclusion might be that taoist yoga is from the same brance of taoism as the whtite tigress teaching, or a plagiate.
But Hsi Lai might have wrong when he said that the picture only existed in that version in the white tigress system. I have to reread what he realy wrote in the book also and it will be interesting to study the difference or similarities with Luke.
Are you familiar with the taoist yoga book on a deeper level? I tried to read a while ago but it was to much for me at that time. I had not even started any alchemical practises and taist yoga describes the whole part of it, as I see it. So it is easy to feel that I havent got anywhere. Still the book is waiting for me to be read and so do the practises to be done.
