I listened to the spinning dragon cd
for the first time and had a wonderful
experience. Right away this lipstick
red dragon with big feathery whiskers
came into me. In all of the practices
I have never had red appear, it is the
color I have the most difficulty with.
I never wear red. But this dragon was
red and he came spiralling in and started
sniffing my insides, putting his nose
into every crevice and shadowy spot.
Kind of like he was getting to know me.
He blew steam in my womb. I had a bit
of trouble asking him to help me in
the wudang orbit so I ended up climbing
on his back and moving with him around
the orbit while still being inside my
center watching. I brushed his scales
up backwards so they stood up and we
used them to clean the orbit. When
coming around the hui yin he would
put his muzzle right against it and
sniff and snort. Very strange but it
felt really good made me laugh.I am almost afraid to try again because
normally the first couple of times I try
a practice I feel it strongly and then
the feeling starts to weaken and I
lose the original power. Blockages tighten me
up and I lose concentration.Adel
January 5, 2012 at 11:11 pm #38310Thanks for sharing your experience. You saying that after a few times the feelings aren’t strong anymore reminds me of Michael mentioning that it is easy for practicing to become stale. Maybe you can say or have the perspective before you start practicing, I have no expectation of what feelings or results will occur and that each time is special and a mystery waiting to be unfolded.
Wish you well with your practice.
January 6, 2012 at 2:06 pm #38312Hello User:
Yes, I think what you are
saying is right on the mark.
I see now that I start a practice
with the expectation of something
similar to previous experiences
occuring…..which is why whenever
I am doing a new one I feel it the
strongest…..ie no expectations. The second time I did the practice
a white dragon showed up, very cold
and down to business. I felt a bit
lonely afterwords. I realize now that
I had been expecting the warm and
friendly red dragon to come and that
was the reason for my down feelings.
The dragon practice seems a bit different
than all of the others because I am
dealing with a being who has his/her
own feelings that I can not control.
Maybe this is a good practice where
I can start to let go of trying to
control the outcomes. Many thanks for your insight….Adel
January 9, 2012 at 9:48 am #38314Some of my most powerful experiences
in practice have come as a complete
surprise when I was expecting nothing
or no result . . .Chasing after a hoped-for result almost
always guarantees its non-achievement I find . . .Thanks for sharing your recent practice
experiences! It is always good to hear of people
doing actual practices on this forum. 😉Qi,
