note: what’s really interesting about this discovery is that it is caused by METAL (zinc). The brighter the light, the healthier (jing) the baby has. This suggests srong metal element – which is the element in charge of INDIVIDUATION – is key to healthy embryo. Birthing itself is a process of individuation, so this is not surprising. Raises questions whether Tao practices to cultivate metal/breath like my Blissful Breathing Qigong (Fundamentals 3) could improve the viability of an egg/embryo. – Michael
Fascinating!
My other half remarked that, in the black and white photos, the flash of light looks like a solar eclipse. And that, like a solar eclipse, the meeting of the egg and sperm is the meeting of sun and moon.
Cool. It’s good to know that conception begins with fireworks. 🙂
Although implications about sorting fertilized eggs based on strength of fireworks opens up all kinds of eugenics possibilities. It could unfortunately create a future of people intentionally creating their children in a lab. On the other hand, Christian fundamentalists could also latch onto this new news and act as interference to the lab crowd . . .
