“Inner Smile of acceptance and relaxation” Do you feel it to be responcibility? Thats my intuition on it.
April 15, 2008 at 8:06 pm #28060It would be interesting to know the teachers’ opinions. Winn, Chia, etc.
Do they teach the long and unconfortable version? If so, why? Does pain create energy? Is the stance for accumulating it? Or redistributing? Or just aligning and relaxing?April 21, 2008 at 11:42 am #28062standing is master level practice
thus it is a demonstration
and not a means to achieve mastery
but afterwards it is a good practisebut then same goes for very many things
so it a question of being and not of becomingApril 21, 2008 at 5:06 pm #28064Hello Jerney
What do you meen by “it is a master practise”? Is it not possible to achive improvements with this practise if you are starting from a low level?
Sounds strange to me.

April 23, 2008 at 10:02 am #28066It takes great reverance and humility.
I have rarely seen humans groke the reverence of practice without explicit exposition.
When the essence of reverence was demostrated in time, common response is dependance.WOrld is full of examples. Like i chuan man trains bagua for many decade, then just stands pole. Later generation master just stands, starts worshipping exhausting heart tension of increased heart rate, and ends with heart attack.
Or hatha yoga people who practise lotus and feel good when stretching the knee when reaching the limits of kwa openess.
Taoism holds also such examples. But one should distinguish feeding and pride. Feeding is good and is the way of earth. Pride is lack of heaven.

April 24, 2008 at 8:45 am #28070Sure. But that is not a dilemma, just yet uncrystalized and foggy an idea. So it is not a question of understanding, but of grounding.

June 11, 2008 at 6:38 pm #28074Hi
have you ever tried doing ocean breathing instead of just standing? i find it much more easier to relax and get into flow by doing just ocean breathing for long periods of time which i would usually dedicate for stnading. if anyone has some comments on that apreciate it
