Steven, you wrote me in a previous post,
“I highly recommend for you to additionally get some kidney support products. In particular, if you would get two things, I’d recommend Goji juice (Michael sells it on his website) and He Shou Wu (you can get it on Dragon Herbs website). If you could only get one, I’d opt for the Goji juice. Drink several ounces a day for several days at first to give yourself a boost, and then back off to a more maintenance level of 1-2 ounces a day. Don’t be surprised if you feel more sleepy and want to sleep a lot at first. This is normal. When your kidneys start to rebuild, they leave the hyperdrive mode they are in, and they go into rest mode to repair.”
I’m gonna get the Goji juice from Michael. You wrote, “Drink several ounces a day for several days at first” I was wondering if you could give more specific advice, how many ounces exactly would you recommend I take in the beginning and for how many days? After that I plan to revert to 1 oz a day…
I looked up He Shou Wu on dragon herbs and it looks really good…
http://www.dragonherbs.com/prodinfo.asp?number=542my only concern, perhaps, is from the story on the page that it might increase sexual desire too much? this would not be a problem for me usually but since I don’t have a sexual partner at the moment, I thought maybe this would make me frustrated?
another problem is that I checked out the entire site and there are a bunch of their products that I feel like buying!
here they are:
for weight loss:
Caralluma – definitely getting this one
http://www.dragonherbs.com/prodinfo.asp?number=529and
Spring Dragon Longetivity Tea
http://www.dragonherbs.com/prodinfo.asp?number=601for SHEN
Will Power
http://www.dragonherbs.com/prodinfo.asp?number=180“All together, these herbs open all eight psychic channels, especially the Central Channel, fortify Shen, build Jing and Qi, and adjust the bodily and psychic energy, resulting in more focused Will Power.”
“Will Power opens the Penetrating Vessel, also known as the Central Channel or Chong Mei. The Penetrating Vessel is an energy channel that runs inside the body from the perineum (a point between the legs) to the crown of the head, in front of the spine and through the brain. All of the major energy centers of the body are located along its route. ”
“opens the Penetrating Vessel and helps to connect the various energy centers. In particular, it helps to connect the lower Dantian in the abdomen, associated with the Kidneys, with the Middle Dantian associated with the Heart. This opening helps to reconnect primordial healthy union of Heart and Kidney, uniting physical love with emotional love and helping to regulate Heart and Kidney, Water and Fire.”
“Will Power is one of the most useful tools in all of herbalism. All spiritual practice centers around the ability to let go and to form healthy, natural, harmonious patterns. This formula dramatically supports this process.”This sounds really good to me!
Wild Reishi Drops
“No herb on earth is more capable of supporting the development of Shen than WILD Reishi.”
http://www.dragonherbs.com/prodinfo.asp?number=004Diamond Mind
for Rhodiola Root and Eleuthro Root
http://www.dragonherbs.com/prodinfo.asp?number=160
“Consumption of a small amount of Himalayan Rhodiola sacra extract supports a persons capacity to absorb and utilize oxygen. This is a major key to the incredible benefits associated with this herb. When you consume Tibetan Rhodiola sacra, it is similar to inhaling nearly-pure oxygen.
This incredible herb was used by the Tibetan monks to enhance their spiritual power, the power of concentration and physical endurance. It has played a major role in the development of Tibetan culture. It is a superb herb to take before meditation, since it helps improve respiration and clears the mind and helps promote focused mental states. Tibetan Rhodiola sacra gained its name because it is considered a sacred herb in Tibet and Bhutan.”
“Eleuthero Root (Siberian Ginseng) has been demonstrated to improve concentration and memory. It helps aid in the recovery from hard exercise, as well as from occasional mental exertion. It is now routinely used by people required to engage in high stress, high energy-demanding activities such as high altitude flying, long-distance sailing, working in high or low temperature environments or in deep water. Russian cosmonauts have reportedly used Eleuthero. The use of the extract of this herb in these endeavors helps to increase physical strength, sharpen concentration, improve various parameters of mental power, increase visual acuity, and improve color vision and to promote healing power. Eleuthero is a very powerful adaptogenic agent. It is among the most famous and important adaptogenic herbs in the world. It helps expand the dimensions of work that one can perform, improving work capacity in both the short and long term.”(maybe this one I don’t need… but it sounds very powerful…. it says it enhances meditation, I could use it before meditation maybe… i sit for 40 min a day)
for JING
Gecko Rockclimber
http://www.dragonherbs.com/prodinfo.asp?number=018
“Used with Ginseng and/or Astragalus, it empowers breathing enormously and builds endurance. No more powerful energy building combination exists in Chinese tonic herbalism. That is why Gecko formulas have always been a favorite of Chinese Gung Fu masters and is now a favorite of athletes around the world.”
“Gecko Rockclimber has a very warm, Yang quality, so it may need to be combined with Yin herbs such as American Ginseng, Dendrobium (Healers Tea), He Shou Wu, Gynostemma (either alone or as Spring Dragon Longevity Tea), to help balance ones overall energetics.”I just realized this formula has He Shou Wu in the ingredients…. so maybe I don’t need to get the He Shou Wu separately? which do you think is better?
Tribulus
http://www.dragonherbs.com/prodinfo.asp?number=557
“the herb has an ability to support healthy hormone balance”
“This first group has an effect on sexual performance and may promote vigorous sexual health, sexual energy level and strength by increasing the percentage of free testosterone level for men”I like the idea of having more testosterone….. I might not have much, I am in my late 20’s and cannot grow a beard….
so, This adds up to 7 products from dragon herbs)…… if price were not an issue, would this be too much? are there any contra-indications to taking so many supplements? which ones would you choose if you had to cut it down a bit?
After making this list, the ones I think I really want are: Caralluma, Will Power, Wild Reishi Drops, and Gecko Rockclimber….. that adds up to 4
But then there’s also:
Spring Dragon Longetivity Tea, which may help even more in losing weight…
Diamond Mind, which sounds pretty awesome, but may be overkill (from the Eleuthero Root (Siberian Ginseng) description)…. i don’t know…. and like I said before the Tibetan Rhodiola sacra enhances meditation so I could use it before I sit everyday…
and finally Tribulus, which I like simply because it raises testosterone…
any thoughts?

>>>I take in the beginning and for how many days?
>>>After that I plan to revert to 1 oz a day…By the way, I personally recommend the Goji 100 over the Total Goji 100.
Total Goji 100 appears to be better because it is the whole fruit including seeds and skin, but the Goji 100 has been slow-cooked according to TCM to amplify certain potent qualities of the Goji. In particular, the Goji 100 has a dark, almost black color, that resonates more with the internal nature of the kidneys. In total, I find it more of a potent kidney tonic, and better at repairing kidney yin (which are the kidney reserves). But you can experiment with both, and see which one suits you better personally.I don’t really measure when I pour into a glass.
When I need a kidney boost as I described earlier (and go above the recommended dose), I do the following: I take a 12-oz. whiskey tumbler as shown:
and fill it a little less than half full . . . so maybe 5-6oz? Then I drink it and wash down 3 He Shou Wu capsules with it. I do this on top of my usual daily dose. I do this for about 2-3 days in a row, and usually by that point, my fatigue is gone and I’m feeling somewhat horny. So I sort of know that my kidneys are singing at that point, and just go back to my usual daily 1-2 oz without this extra booster. I only do the “kidney boost” if I’ve been particularly stupid, and wore myself out with too much overwork, stress, and little sleep. [not usually more than once every 2-3 months].>>>I looked up He Shou Wu on dragon herbs

When your kidneys are healthy, they produce good amounts of sexual jingqi, and they stimulate the liver to express that physical arousal.Obviously, once you start to get really horny, you can back off it a bit. If you get too horny, you can always masturbate. Just keep in mind that if you masturbate, that unless you either do semen retention–or you consume your semen after you ejaculate–that you will lose some of what you built up through your kidney strengthening. This is why it is best to simply do the kidney building up to the point where you feel really energized and slightly horny, but then to back off when you start feeling strongly revved/horned up. That way you will have a nice energy, but you won’t be so horned up that you are constantly masturbating.

>>>if you had to cut it down a bit?I wouldn’t recommend getting too nuts with herbal supplements, especially right in the beginning. You don’t know how your body will react to these things, and if you take a lot from ground zero, you won’t be able to pinpoint what exactly is having what kind of effect on you. Moreover, if something has a negative effect, you will have difficulty locating the cause. It’s better to only add on a few things, to then see how your body takes to them, and after you’ve settled on a couple, then maybe add another. I wouldn’t recommend more than 3-4 herbal supplements on a daily basis even after having time to settle in . . . anything brought to excess becomes bad, and then your liver gets worked too hard doing daily routine detox (of everything you consume that your body can’t use in that day). Usually for me, I follow “half the recommended dose” for the herbals that I take. Most of the Dragon Herbs capsules say “3 capsules TWICE daily”, and I only take 3 capsules ONCE daily. I only very rarely go for a second set of 3 capsules in a day, and only when I feel I need a boost of a particular type. I don’t want to overstress my liver.
>>>Caralluma – definitely getting this one
>>>http://www.dragonherbs.com/prodinfo.asp?number=529I’ve never tried this, so I can’t recommend it.
If you get it, I would only experiment with it after you have been doing the Goji and the He Shou Wu for a while (and your body is comfortable with them). My intuition suggests it could have a very strong effect on the body, so if I tried this, I’d only do so tentatively, cautiously, and not with anything else new at the same time.>>>Spring Dragon Longevity Tea
>>>http://www.dragonherbs.com/prodinfo.asp?number=601I highly recommend this for EVERYONE. I drink 1, sometimes 2, cups of this every day in the afternoon. I even got my mother drinking this tea. I highly recommend it and I think it is one of a few different contributing factors toward my not getting sick, even so much as a cold, since May 2011. It supports weight loss, so all the better.
>>>Will Power
>>>http://www.dragonherbs.com/prodinfo.asp?number=180Many of the herbs in this are already in the Spring Dragon Longevity Tea . . . so this product is overkill. It’s not necessarily a bad product based on the herb spectrum, but I wouldn’t necessarily go for it either. In particular, some ingredients could elevate blood pressure. Depending on what a person wants, I think there are other herbal formulations that would support the other herbals of He Shou Wu and the Spring Dragon Longevity Tea better, if one wanted to increase “willpower”.
>>>Wild Reishi Drops
>>>”No herb on earth is more capable of
>>>supporting the development of Shen than WILD Reishi.”
>>>http://www.dragonherbs.com/prodinfo.asp?number=004Even though I’ve never personally had this, your product is one of the elixir versions of what I take [I get the Duanwood Reishi], so I feel comfortable recommending it. Some folks like the elixirs better, so if you are attracted to this, I’d say “get it”.
>>>Diamond Mind
>>>for Rhodiola Root and Eleuthro Root
>>>http://www.dragonherbs.com/prodinfo.asp?number=160I’d wait on this until you see how the other supplements work first. In particular, the Spring Dragon Longevity Tea already has Siberian Ginseng, and you don’t want to overdo it on this. I’ve never had it, so I can’t recommend it.
>>>Gecko Rockclimber
>>>http://www.dragonherbs.com/prodinfo.asp?number=018I’ve never had this, but I know someone who has.
He said that it is really potent, but it can also be “too potent” unless you are out doing a lot of rock climbing and hiking like the gecko. You can start to feel too stimulated otherwise. A bit too yang. If you did get it, I would not recommend it for daily use at all . . . only very occasional use. There is also a lot of herbal duplication with other products, so you run the risk of getting too overdosed on some herbs.>>>I just realized this formula has He Shou Wu
>>>in the ingredients…. so maybe I don’t
>>>need to get the He Shou Wu separately?
>>>which do you think is better?I think He Shou Wu is most potent when it is not diluted with other herbs. Washing it down with Goji juice would be a way to super-charge.
>>>Tribulus
>>>http://www.dragonherbs.com/prodinfo.asp?number=557
>>>”the herb has an ability to support healthy hormone balance”
>>>”This first group has an effect on sexual performance
>>>and may promote vigorous sexual health,
>>>sexual energy level and strength by
>>>increasing the percentage of
>>>free testosterone level for men”Now wait a minute. I thought you were concerned about getting too horned up?
In any case, I’ve never had this, so I can’t recommend it.
I’d really wait until you see how your body handles the other stuff before adding on more.>>>After making this list, the ones
>>>I think I really want are: Caralluma,
>>>Will Power, Wild Reishi Drops, and
>>>Gecko Rockclimber….. that adds up to 4I would not recommend this at all. With the exception of the Reishi, the rest is way way too yang in my opinion . . . except in unique situations or occasional use.
If you want my advice, I’d say stick with the Goji 100 and the He Shou Wu. If you want to add on some more right away, get your Reishi drops and the Spring Dragon Longevity Tea. Then no more right now. Just work with that for the time being and see how your body takes to it. After a while, based on how your body feels, re-evaluate at that point. You may want to try to add on ONE of the other things at that stage, or you may realize that you feel so different already that none of them seem appropriate.
At least the four items I listed I can feel pretty comfortable recommending to everybody to take on a daily basis . . . I think they’re pretty safe. The other ones are a little more extreme. They may be right for some, but for others it could have a negative effect. You have to be careful with these things and not go too nuts.
Qi,
StevenJanuary 5, 2015 at 1:08 am #43659Ok for now i will get the goji, he shou eu, spring dragon tea, and the wild reishi
Other ones I’m thinking of getting later, but I’ll wait:
Caralluma
Will power
Gecko rock climber
Diamond mind
trubulusThat’s 5 more… Should I wait around 2 months before adding one of them each time?
Thanks for the really helpful advice Steven !
January 5, 2015 at 9:30 am #43661I’d wait more than 2 months, just to give your body time to respond.
Maybe more like 4 months. You are going to want to look at the herb catalog again at that time, rather than just beginning to add the extra items you list. They may not seem like the right choices anymore depending on how you feel.
PLUS as I said there is a lot of herb duplication in those other formulations, so you may want to adjust your plan (e.g. the Will Power, Gecko Rock Climber, and Diamond Mind all have Eleuthero [Siberian Ginseng] in them, which you are already taking in the stuff you are currently buying!). You don’t want to overload/overdose on this. Ginseng (of any form) is not something I recommend people go too nuts with. I’d really look at the herb spectrum carefully, because if something you want to add has a lot of ingredients already contained in things you are already taking, then you don’t really want to just “add it on”. Even the single herb formulations you listed (Caralluma and Tribulus) appear to my eyes to be quite strong, not something I’d recommend doing on a daily basis.
So please wait at least 4 months, then read the herb descriptions in the catalog again to see if they still make sense. If they do, then double-check to see that you are not duplicating certain herbs. If you are, but you are still interested in the product, look around in the catalog for a similar item that contains similar things, but doesn’t have the herb duplication. Depending on what results you want, I think there may be better choices anyway. Then add ONE only, and see how you respond to it.
I have very good feelings about the four you are currently getting, BUT
Unlike the four that you are getting, I don’t feel entirely comfortable recommending the other choices. So, if you do choose to start getting them at some point, you do so entirely at your OWN risk and I am not responsible! 🙂Thanks,
StevenJanuary 5, 2015 at 12:42 pm #43663Awesome, thanks for the advice… I will wait at least 4 months then check again…. I like those 4 too and am satisfied with the choice…
January 5, 2015 at 4:07 pm #43665Hi Steven
I’ve found this thread very interesting as I’ve long felt my kidneys are pretty weak. And more recently I’ve begun to think that my symptoms include those of kidney yang deficiency (low energy, cold extremities, aversion to cold, pale complexion, aversion to drinking when thirsty etc).
Would your recommendation for supplements to boost the kidneys be the same whether the deficiency is yin or yang i.e. goji and He Shou Wu? Re Dragon products, would you recommend He Shou Wu over the Shou Wu Formulation?
Thanx
January 5, 2015 at 4:32 pm #43667I was thinking of the Gecko rock climber for more Jing, but you said
>I’ve never had this, but I know someone who has.
>He said that it is really potent, but it can also be “too potent” unless you are out doing a lot of rock climbing and >hiking like the gecko. You can start to feel too stimulated otherwise. A bit too yang. If you did get it, I would not >recommend it for daily use at all . . . only very occasional use. There is also a lot of herbal duplication with other >products, so you run the risk of getting too overdosed on some herbs. ”so anyway I reread the He shou wu description and it says
“It shares the position as the primary essence (Jing) tonic of Chinese herbalism with the Goji berry.”
“He Shou Wu is not a stimulant. However, it is one of the greatest energy tonics known to mankind.”
“He Shou Wu is unsurpassed in its ability to provide deep, primordial energy (Jing, essence) to the cells of the body via the Kidney system as described in Chinese health philosophy. ”
—so taking He Shou Wu and Goji would be more than enough for JING and energy right….
—upon better reflection, I would probably not need Gecko rock climber…. unless I start Muay Thai again in the future, which are 1.5 hr classes, 2 or up to 5 times a week?
the Diamond mind is no longer that interesting to me, since the other products also contain Eleuthro Root, but the Rhodiola Root is still a bit interesting, maybe I’ll try that in the future, if I can find it pure… but I have a feeling I won’t need it that much….
the Tribulus is also not that interesting to me anymore, but I still like the idea of more testosterone, but you said this herb may be too strong, so I’ll take your advice for now…. probably the other herbs can also help raise testosterone levels too?
I still really like the idea of the Caralluma for weight loss. I am wondering why you find it may be too strong? nothing on the page
http://www.dragonherbs.com/prodinfo.asp?number=529
seems to suggest that to me…… is it just an intuition?but anyway I feel it is really a good idea to start it later, to see if the spring dragon tea, my exercise program, and some omega-7’s that I will take have any effect (going to post a link to an article on omega 7’s soon)…
finally the Will Power still seems interesting to me, not so much because of actual “will power” that it may provide, but because it “open all eight psychic channels””, “opens the Penetrating Vessel, also known as the Central Channel or Chong Mei”, and connects the lower and middle dantians…
January 5, 2015 at 4:41 pm #43669Goji and He Shou Wu are great all-around kidney builders that help support and strengthen your kidneys, regardless of which “type” of weakness it is. I would not try to “classify” which type of weakness it is without being formally diagnosed by a Chinese medical doctor or an acupuncturist, as sometimes symptoms can suggest one version, but they are actually masking the other. Good news is, you don’t need to get into such an analysis to know that both Goji and He Shou Wu will strengthen the kidney system as a whole, so whichever is weak will get helped.
Both He Shou Wu and Shou Wu Formulation are fine products. You can’t go too wrong with either one. I tend to recommend the He Shou Wu alone, for a few reasons. One, the Shou Wu Formulation has Eleuthero in it, which is already contained in the Spring Dragon Longevity Tea which I also recommend (and I don’t like duplicating the same herb in multiple products). Two, Licorice Root in the Shou Wu Formulation can raise blood pressure. Three, if you get “He Shou Wu”, then more of the contents of the capsules are He Shou Wu, rather than it being filled with other herbs. I think Shou Wu Formulation is a great choice, but if I had to pick, I’d go with the He Shou Wu. In fact, I do; it’s the one I take.

>>>seems to suggest that to me…… is it just an intuition?1. I always like to ask the question: “Would I feel good taking this the rest of my life?”
If the answer is no, then I have my doubts about taking it begin with.
The other 4 products I would feel comfortable telling someone that they could take them the rest of their life and have only positive benefits. Not so with this product. Obviously, you don’t want to be “stimulating” your body for weight loss, forever. So that says it would be a temporary product, which in itself makes me less positive about it.2. It says it is an appetite suppressant.
Virtually every appetite suppressant (whether artificial like Dexatrim, or natural) is basically a stimulant. It keeps your body revved up unnaturally in an attempt to drive weight loss. This wears on the body rather than supports the body. Often, even if an appetite suppressant does work, once you stop the product, the weight comes back.
3. It says it blocks signals to the brain and interferes with enzyme formation.
Again, I don’t want herbs interfering with my body. I want them to support my body.
It also mentions consulting a physician, and it is not for extremely obese, who need to be under a doctor’s care. These are just a few reasons, but when you put them all together, it just doesn’t sit well with my gut intuition. It makes me feel like it could have a strong reaction to a person’s body, and one that is not good in the long run.
At minimum, I’d wait until you see how your body responds to the other herbs, and then only add at *your discretion*. For me, I don’t feel I could give a positive recommendation for it.
>>>finally the Will Power still seems interesting to me,

You said you were interested in it because of it opening the “eight psychic channels”, but to me, this is not a reason to take a particular herbal supplement. Opening these channels can be done through qigong and inner alchemy, so why take a herb? As I said before, you don’t want to go nuts with taking herbs. Some herbs (especially if they are the right ones) are helpful, but a lot of herbs is not. More is not better. It’s like the idea that “1 ice cream cone is good, but 10 ice cream cones are bad”. If you start taking too many herbs, it can stress the liver. For me, I would not want to take an herb whose results I can get simply through practice. Plus, I find this claim that it opens up all eight psychic channels to be kind of a “sales pitch”. No need to do any qigong, meditation, emotional clearing, anything . . . just take an herb! Yeah, right. I don’t believe it. I find these type of comments under herb descriptions to be not much more than a dangerous sales pitch from a herbalist trying to sell a product. Even if it were true, I wouldn’t want to add an herb complex to my daily catalog for something that I could get without the herb. I would prefer to keep the number of supplements limited to only that which is truly essential to avoid working the liver too hard.
But these are just my opinions, so that said, what you choose to do, is YOUR business. 🙂
At minimum, I’d wait for 4 months, and re-evaluate.

January 5, 2015 at 10:28 pm #43673Thanks Steven, especially for points 2 and 3, which explain point 1…. None of that was clear to me at first because my knowledge of bodily functions and energetics, etc. is very limited and rudimentary… So thanks for explaining… After hearing this, it seems that is not a herb I would ever want to take….
As for the “will power”, I’m still a bit sold on the sales pitch lol, and the promise of making it easy…. But I’ll take what you said into consideration. Maybe I’ll try a low dose in 4 months if I’m still interested….
Should I start the tea with one bag a day? Should I ever switch to 2 daily? What time is the best to take it? I think you said afternoon? How about right after lunch (around 3-4 pm for me)… That’s when I start my day (I sleep late and for very long)…. Can it ever be taken at night?
Actually that question goes for all the supplements, goji he shou wu and Reishi… When is best to take them?
Enlighten me further with your knowledge! Haha… Thanks a lot! 😉
January 5, 2015 at 11:31 pm #43675>>>Should I start the tea with one bag a day?
>>>Should I ever switch to 2 daily?
>>>What time is the best to take it?
>>>I think you said afternoon?
>>>How about right after lunch (around 3-4 pm for me)…
>>>That’s when I start my day
>>>(I sleep late and for very long)….
>>>Can it ever be taken at night? One cup of longevity tea per day is about right. If I have a cup during my late afternoon, and then I am up late, sometimes I’ll go for a second cup . . . but this is not an everyday thing where I have two cups. However, I never miss a day of having at least one.
A great time to drink it is during the late afternoon, when you get kind of groggy after having been up for a while. Sometimes I’ll have a cup with my supper. Usually it is either an “after lunch thing”, or “with supper thing”. Usually sometime in the late afternoon it will start sounding good, and then I make a cup.
The instructions say “one bag is good for 3 cups”, so you can save the tea bag after you make a cup, and then use it 2 more times. For me, I like a strong tea, so I usually put the tea bag in the cup with the hot water and leave it in as I drink it. This will make the tea rather strong, but then it is not so strong for subsequent cups. Consequently for me, I only use a tea bag for one cup and simply throw it away, then use a new tea bag for any new cups. However, if you like a weaker tea, you can get more than one cup out of the same bag. If you are like me and use only one bag per cup, you will go through the tea fast . . . and you will need to buy several boxes to keep up your stock. Good thing the boxes are cheap, considering you are getting high quality herbs.
There are mostly no problems taking it at night. It is adaptogenic, so it both gives you more energy when you are tired, and it also relaxes you if you are wound up. So after a long day, it can actually help you relax and sleep better.
>>>Actually that question goes for
>>>all the supplements, goji he shou wu and Reishi…
>>>When is best to take them?Goji and He Shou Wu are both best right in the morning, before breakfast.
Wash the He Shou Wu down with the Goji, and then eat breakfast immediately thereafter. It helps give you a boost right at the beginning of the day.The Reishi can be taken anytime depending on what feels best to you.
If you tend to be really sleepy when you get up, then I’d say not at the beginning of the day, since it tends to be a little relaxing/calming. In that case, a better time would be in the middle of the day when you feel kinda wired. Most of the Dragon Herbs products recommend two doses, at different times of the day. For me, I just take one at the times mentioned. I feel like having the 3 capsules just once (for instance) . . . makes it mild enough where I feel I can take it indefinitely every day with no break, and it helps the herbs to last twice as long.

January 6, 2015 at 12:07 am #43677Thanks for the thorough answer.
I think I will do the same as you, and make 1 cup / bag, really strong… The tea is pretty nicely priced indeed…. I’ll probably be taking it with supper too or late afternoon… Since I’ll already be taking your advice and take the goji berry anf he shou wu before lunch when I wake up (lunch is my breakfast), perhaps it’s best not too mix them up with the tea and so get different effects and benefits more spread out through the day…
I do tend to be more groggy or sleepy in the first half of the day, and really wake up at night
How about taking the Reishi drops right before meditation? I usually meditate around midnight or 1 am, then go to sleep 2-3 hours later…. Might it have an enhancing effect on the meditation?
Or I might just take it in the middle of the day as you suggest, so I can feel its effects in activity…
It says to take 3-12 “droppers” of the Reishi… Does that mean drops, or to repeatedly fill the entire dropper? If it’s the entire dropper, wouldn’t that mean one bottle is consumed really fast? How long should i expect one wild Reishi extract bottle to last?
I’ll also take your advice with the 3 capsule daily serving… And take 1 oz of the goji so it lasts longer…

Usually most folks would squeeze a full dropper into their mouths and consider that a dose. I use the Duanwood Reishi capsules rather the elixir. However, I’d estimate that probably the 3 capsule dose is about 1.5 droppers, based on earlier experience when I was new to Dragon Herbs and had tried a few of the elixirs.S

Thanks!
