One thing i’ve noticed about Healing Tao since i first started and which sets it apart from other “spiritual” schools is that it doesn’t tout an Apocalypse. Churches have ’em. New Age groups have ’em. Tracker School has ’em. Even secular environmentalists have ’em. Apocalypses see to provide for a basic human need for Doomsday, and make for great marketing–“WE’LL SAVE YOU!”
So why the absence from Healing Tao? Not that I want one, or even believe in them (they’re very uncooperative, unreliable, and never show up on time). But it seems Michael and others at Healing Tao ignore this “essential” element of philopshy and recruitment. What’s up with that?
People who follow Daoist paths are not generally interested in recruiting adherents; it really is up to you to pave your path. Even religous daoism empowers you to do the work; I believe it to be to much baggage to follow the other way.. everyone can connect to their Spiritual Hierachy in their own way…my 2 cents. SL
I’ve never come across any teaching or doctrine about that at HT. Winn really likes to cut out the BS.
he speaks about it in the greater kan and li’s in reference to connecting to the earth. It seems to be in its best context there as the work is integrating the earth into your own center. then the changes to come whatever they are find a resonant field in our own psyches. At least that is the work….barry
