I inherited a book from my grand father, interesting man loved puzzles, cheap romance novels, and worked for the NSA. My family has a hisory of enjoying the occult, esoteric subjects, and philosophy. The book is interesting it is translated by Richard Wilhelm, and has commentary by C.G. Jung. It is a chinese text. If I did not have a back ground in internal practice this book would not make allot of since. It seems to be focused on the micro mosmic orbit and Kan & Li. The translation is not the greatest, but they would have had to make some cultural leaps to get more of the picture. It makes comparisons of anima to yin and animus to yang so I think they where trying to bridge a cultural gap. There is a judgement against the yin in a negitive way I feel, but again thats the western culture I believe. They have this interesting heart mind vs primal nature comparison, I think they are trying to talk about personal destiny vs soul destiny sometimes, then other times I am not sure..
I am shure some of you have already read this so I would love to hear your take on the book.

    Here is a taste.

“THe secret of the magic of life consists in using action in order to attain non-action, One must not wish to leap over everything and penetrate directly”
