standing… unit of practice is 100h
do it for 100h and observeif there is a practise to be done for 100h and not be damaging
many safety injunctions should be placed1.
legs are fully extended yet not locked(this make smallest strain on the knees)
(it takes only 1cm tilt of the knee forward from the straight ankle-knee-hip line position)2.
knees and ankles are bent neither in nor out(knees and ankles do bend outward, but only by opening the kwa: protect the knees/ankles)
3.
check the hips(close the hip joint to normal expantion: it is common to overexpand hips when adjusting (to) the knee weight transfer, if the kwa is not alive)
4.
hold to nothing in, resist to nothing outside
do not use what you are using and start using what you are not using
if it is tense or you need it to keep going on: you do not need it
it is all in the structure/allignment(make structural adjustement accordingly)
5.
relax the gaze(unless being a functional sorceror dealings)
PURPOSE:
1. KWA IS ALIVE
2. IT IS OK TO USE KWA
3. IT IS OK THAT KWA TAKES (the legs) OVEROne of the sign of functional kwa is the lifting of the anus when kwa kicks in.
Chicken leg is a symbol in hsing i. In that art one moves with the hands leading whole body.
Here is a simplification. Reaching from kwa height only. Thus it would be also applicable also to tai chi (the aggressive version).Legs are strong to support standing.
Kwa takes over.
Legs can relax.
When legs relax, relaxation starts from kwa downwars.
The release of the fleshy part of legs.
The flesh of legs being bathed in chi. Downward from the kwa in the ground.
Most flesh is on the thighs.
Hence the chicken legs.Chicken legs. A symbol in hsing i.
