For me it helps with hatha yoga.

    Haa International Retreat Center

Book:Yoga, Tantra and Meditation in Daily Life

In this book there is a wery easy starting program for elder or ill people, that still is efective and looses up tentions in the neck shoulder area and other areas as well. When I have problem I do this easy program combined with the back program each other day. This has always helped loosing me up in just a few days. If being tired during or after the exercises its important to get some rest.

I don’t know if and which of the six healing sounds will loosen up this areas, for me it work best with physical yoga streatching exercises.

    Hello Sly

I have the same problem periodically. Here are the things that work for me.

Breathe between the lower DT and the Ming Men (QF3). Pausing at each for a second or two helps. As I do this for awhile the energy flow begins to feel like a silky liquid. This causes a great feeling of relaxation to occur. Surrender to it and smile.

Doing the 5 Animals from QF1 helps a lot too. For me the deer/liver/green portion is frequently very energetic when I’m all tight.

From the joint and tendon qigong (QF4)I find the raising and dropping the shoulders in both directions, in a circular motion helps. Michael has some great neck forms that will loosen you up as well.

    hope this helps…

    Bob
