Hi Bagua,
I am not visiting continuously. You ever answered my question that if you would start all over again, which practices you’d do, which not?
you might want to answer me privately at goldenerpfad@yahoo.de
thankx for considering & believe me: I am honestly curious in a serious way

I do sounds, smile, orbit, fusion 1-3 with modifications, iron shirt 1-3 in my own way, many modificatons, yang long form, my own short form creation, primordial/winn, wu ji from emei, share lew stuff, lots of general qi gong, i probally do 2-4 hours of qi gong a day, not counting sitting meditation/alchemy and chan of course, which I generally do when do most of my qi gong.

May 21, 2006 at 4:43 pm #14281That the turtle is not so lazy and actually practices. So maybe it wasn’t the ego talking this whole time!
May 21, 2006 at 5:05 pm #14283And I did not include all, things like ba duan jin, hua tao frolics and more, as well as cardio and weight training, which I think is the missing part of health maintenence for those only doing qi gong.
Example:
yesterday taught 3-hour qi gong class and probally did 2 hours on top of that, I have made it my lifestyle, so if I take a break from working I do some Qi Gong, its become my cup of coffee.
I have tried to study qi gong, so I have seen may variations of things, for example, about 15 versions of ba duan or 10 versions of frolics or 10 versions of yi jin jing.

May 21, 2006 at 5:12 pm #14285Hi Bagua,
Just a pointer. Master Kiew Kit Wong does not recommend cardio training, it overworks the heart and deposits toxins in the heart. Qi flow around it is hampered when cardiac muscle is built up. If you do qigong, you don’t really need that.
Weight training is no good too. It also inhibits qi flow when the muscles are built up more. You said you practice Taiji, so what’s the point of cardio and weight training?

May 21, 2006 at 5:30 pm #14287we need to increase the heart rate and metabolism rate, Im not talking about extremes and this is my personal experience. If one wants to loose weight this is key, with diet of course.
getting cardio brings a type of vitality qi gong cannot generate, if one does fast tai chi form for 20-minutes or more that could work, i do fast tai chi, long from, not chia’s short form.

I disagree. Firstly, the heart rate only needs to be increased for the average man to pump more blood. But if qi is the motive force of blood, the heart doesn’t have to work as hard. Then if you practice rooting and martial arts, the excess weighing down of gravity won’t effect your blood vessels negatively and blood will flow much easier without the heart having to work as hard.
Metabolism is controlled by the throid gland. Work on the throat energy center and you will have a well controlled metabolism (I’m sure you do). It depends on diet too. I don’t know what your diet is, but I eat a fruitarian-insecto diet so I don’t get that much fat and protein, just enough. Your metabolism doesn’t have to work as hard with a healthy diet and a well working thyroid.
It’s nice chatting with you about these things, on the philosophical side, things tend to get a little intense. Hope we can set those differences aside!
Smiles,
FajinMay 21, 2006 at 5:41 pm #14291650 lbs. yes. But I don’t hold it. It just pushes my feet stronger towards the ground. It’s not weight training.
May 21, 2006 at 5:43 pm #14293For me there is nothing to set aside, I dont take it personal if someone does not agree with me, key is to communicate in a friendly way.

*I seemed like you did with the "recommendation". Let's let that one go and start from a clean slate.

Thankx Bagua. I was refering to the long discussions not too long ago where so much was spoken about the pros and cons of Tao Alchemy & emtptiness meditation… and I asked what you would do different would you start all over again from today'S point of view…
regarding the many versions:
why do you think are they? Are they becsuse of different levels of the teachers, different energetical needs, so that actually nobody should practice one and the same form? Which advantages have you found from one over the other?thankx much

September 27, 2013 at 6:19 am #14299In today’s competitive and challenging environment, most people are having a stressful lifestyle that often results in several physical, mental and emotional ailments. Yoga body fitness is one of the most effective solutions for combating all these problems. A complete body workout, yoga comprises a set of exercises that improves overall body flexibility and fitness. It tones up the body muscles and increases the stamina. Regular practice further ensures added benefits of mental and emotional balance.
